SADA, SUBA and Woyomegate didn't happen in a vacuum. They are all elements of the unmentioned competition to loot the State to enrich individuals and their respective Parties.

Two wrongs don't make a right. But in Ghanaian politics, no action goes without a reaction from the opponents that tend to be delayed till the opponents' success to take over power. The strange thing about it is that such a reaction does not go in the opposite direction of the action but proceeds in the same direction of that original action.

Do not be discouraged by the fact that all our places of worship are overflowing with members and yet these crimes keep soaring.

Just try do draw on your faith and do your best to stay above the fray. Sometimes, the little an individual could do differently could infect others to help propagate the good among the masses. That is why we should not stop criticizing the evils as often as they surface. We should not throw our hands in the air and say we give up.

The heavy presence of religious folks in our midst, even as crime grows, all the more must tell us that the fight for good cannot ever stop.

When I first came to the USA, I lived in and around Washington, DC. I loved walking to and from work along the 16th Street, which leads directly to the White House, and roughly divided the City into the wealthy Western half and the not-so-wealthy, commoners' Eastern half. Ghana's old Embassy premise was located on that Street, too. One thing that intrigued me most was the extremely high number of Churches and Synagogues on that Street alone. And yet, just a few blocks away to the Eastern half of the City, Murder rate was rising almost every day, mainly from Drug dealings. I used to say the number of Churches on that 16th Street alone was higher than that of all Churches in Ghana, at least, denominationally.

I then, also, noticed that there was the heaviest Evangelical Crusade presence in the Southern USA, and yet that was the center of subtle racism, and greater disrespect of Blacks and other minorities. The fact that the KKK are still dominant in that part of America sums it all up for me.

I had to reason hard to find some solace in the notion that wherever Good exists to honor the name of the Lord, that is where Satan shows up in his strongest appearance.

So, we must all keep working hard to focus on the work to be done and do it right. In the end, many souls would be saved, and Ghana would emerge the shining lamp on the table that she is supposed to be for all of us.

Having made the logical argument above, am also not oblivious of the fact that nothing in Ghana is done in a transparent manner. Everything is skewed to benefit the powers-that-be.

If we truly want transparency in the system, all government properties that are to be sold must be done the a private entity and bidding must be open to the public. If we truly have the welfare of the nation at heart, we must do all we can to maximise revenue from the sale of these state properties. Aren't we a bunch of stupid fools? Governments have come and gone, yet this same old thievery is still in place and it is there to help politicians and their enablers.

We can say that the auction here of Ghana government cars was purely corruption at work. Ibrahim Mahama who is the younger brother of John Mahama paying import taxes with dud cheques, was also corruption. Why will Ghana vote a party that is corrupt to govern Ghana is beyound thinking.
The NDC must remain in opposition for the next 20yrs. to teach them that corruption will not be accepted in Ghana.
