Ghanaian duo of Nii Adjei and Solomon Asante will be playing in Group D of the Caf Confederation Cup where TP Mazembe have been tied against SuperSport United (South Africa),CF Mounana(Gabon),and Horoya AC(Guinea)
The African Confederation Cup holders booked their place in the group phase of this year's tournament with a 0-0 draw away to JS Kabylie in Algeria on Sunday.
“It's a group we have to be very careful of our opponents especially Horoya Athletic Club who won it in 1978, had good records in Africa and CF Mounana who eliminated Asec Mimosas to reach the ground stage,” winger Solomon Asante said immediately after the draw
“As for SuperSport United FC , they are a very good side that needs not to underrated,we will tackle match after match with all seriousness it deserves. We will surely make it to the quarter finals.”
The Ghanaian has been at the club since 2013 and is seen as one of the key players of the team at the moment.
