Anybody who says that local players are good enough for the Black Stars isn't serious and doesn't know the hell he's talking about. Coach Appiah will learn soon and the hard way. All, I mean all, of our best talents leave Ghana. How do we think we still have more left in Ghana? This is common sense. The sad part is that most of them are on benches in Europe, meaning that we are producing average players. Coach Appiah should concentrate on recruiting foreign born Ghanaian players and blend them with the ones playing in Europe.

I don't really care where they are; what is important is good players by merit and not by quota. I have heard many cry foul when international players are chosen over local players. I don't think, it is fair. Many of these international players are in play not because they live abroad. But it is because they are actually good or better than other choices the coaches may have.
If a Ghanaian is playing at Leicester FC, I would expect Kwasi Appiah to choose him over somebody who plays in Ghana because the level of play at English Premier League, La Liga, France, etc is different compared to Ghana Premier League. Unless, the local player is exceptionally good, I would expect him to get a play.
Don't make that mistake.
Give all equal chance but choose the best.

Yes the professio players have not won any trophy, but the local players are so useless that they failed to qualify for CHAN on 2 occasions. Their performances with their clubs at the African Champions league and Confederation cup leaves much to be desired. Let the prove their worth at the CHAN before we foolishly succumb to unnecessary pressure to use the for the Black Stars. A word to the wise is enough.

Appiah is the same man, and I am afraid will be dictated to again. He is not in total control of some of the egoistic, rich Ghanaians playing abroad. That's why he needs a man like Desailly or Tanko who can help him recruit and develop talent from around the world. If Appiah chooses too many of these local players because he can control them easier, he will fail miserably.
