  Cocoa farming in the forest reserves is illegal. The farmers have no right to take lands that do not belong to them. They entered the forest illegally and most often with the connivance of forestry workers. Yes, cocoa is a major source of our income but we should not look on unconcerned. The time to act is now. The forestry commission know the demarcation of all forest reserves and with the correct political will all such illegal farms can be seized. The farmers have essentially stolen from the government so it is right that they are prosecuted for theft. The lands can be reclaimed if there is the political will to do so. Doing nothing about this land grab is not an option. The FC must get its act together and start reclaiming the forest reserves.
