GRANTING WITHOUT ADMITTING THAT THE ONLY ISSUE IS THE DAUGHTER'S OVERSTAY, WHY DID THE 37 YR OLD DAUGHTER NOT APPLY FOR THE VISA ON HER OWN? SHE CHOSE TO BE ATTACHED TO THE FATHER'S PRIVILEGES. BUT HEY, PRIVILEGES GO WITH RESPONSIBILITIES. IT BECAME THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE MP TO ENSURE THE DAUGHTER'S RETURN. IF HE DID NOT ENSURE THAT, THEN HE MUST BEAR THE CONSEQUENCES. I KNIOW FOR A FACT THAT OUR OFFICIALS EVEN TRAVEL WITH PERSONS UNCONNECTED WITH THE PURPOISES FOR THE TRIPS, AND THEY CHARGE THEM HUGE MONIES. IT IS THE REASON WHY INNOCENT APPLICANTS ARE BOUNCED AT THESE EMBASSIES. LET US NOT SHED TEARS FOR THIS KIND OF IRRESPONSIBILITY. SECOND, IF SHE APPLIED FOR THE VISA AND STATED SHE WOULD RETURN INTHREE WEEKS, A FACT THE MP WAS FULLY AWARE OF, AND DID NOT RETURN, IT AMOUNTS TO MISREPRESENTATION. THIRDLY, OF REALLY THE DAUGTHER ABSCONDED WITHOUT THE MPS KNOWLEDGE, I WOULD WANT THE FOLLOWING ADDRESSED; DID HE LODGE A REPORT TO THE UK POLICE THAT HIS DAUGHTER HAD ABSCONDED? IF SO WHERE IS THE POLICE EXTRACT? AND ON RETURN DID HE GO TO THE BHC IN GHANA TO REPORT THAT THE DAUGHTER ABSCONDED AND THAT HE HAD REPORTED TO THE POLICE IN UK. PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK! IT IS ABOUT TIME OUR ELECTED LEADERS BEHAVED RESPONSIBLY. TODAY, THEY TOOK BRIBES, TODAY IT IS VISA FRAUD, TOMORROW IT IS ABOUT SEXUAL HARASSMENT. OUR LEADERS IRRESPECTIVE OF POLITICAL AFFILIATION ARE BEHAVING IRRESPONSIBLY, PLAIN AND SIMPLE. I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE THE HON MEMBER WHO WAS ACCUSED OF BRIBERY AS THE FIRST TYO LAMBAST JON BENJAMIN. WHAT DID JON BENJAMIN DO WRONG? NOTHING!! WHEN ORDINARY PEOPLE GET INVOLVED IN FRAUD, IT IS OKAY TO PUBLIUSH , AND YOU FIND THESE SAME FRAUDULENT MPS SITTING IN FRONT OF TV CAMERAS DISCUSSING HOW THE MORAL FIBER OF GHANAIANS IS GETTING WORSE. WHEN IT IS ABOUT THEM AND IT IS PUBLISHED, THEY SCREAM THAT IT IS UNDIPLOMATIC. WHICH IS UNDIPLOMATIC? TO SECURE A VISA BY FRAUDULENT MISREPRESENTATION OR TO REPORT THE FRAUD WHEN IT OCCURS? ENOUGH OF THE PAMPERING AND SWEEPING UNDER THE CARPETS. THE MPS ARE WRONG AND NO MATTER HOW THEIR HIRELINGS SIT ON RADIO TO INSULT THE BHC, THE FACT REMAINS THAT OUR POLITICIANS ACROSS THE DIVIDE ARE LETTING US DOWN. FINALLY, A 37 YEAR OLD WOMAN WHO CANNOT SUPPORT HER OWN VISA APPLICATION BUT HAS TO RELY ON THE FATHER;S DIPLOMATIC SUPPORT CANNOT CONVINCE ANYONE THAT SHE WILL RETURN HOME. FACT IS SHE WILL BE A CHARGE ON THE PUBLIC FUNDS OF THE UK. THIS, THE FATHER OUGHT TO KNOW. I DONT THINK SHE WAS EVEN GAINFULLY EMPLOYED HERE IN GH PRIOR TO HER TRIP. I BELIEVE THAT THE ONLY REASON THE BHC ISSUED HER A VISA WAS TO RELY ON THE HON MPS CREDIBILITY. BUT UNFORTUNATELY, HE HAD NO CREDIBILITY HIMSELF. I HAVE EVERY REASON TO BELIEVE THAT ALL THOSE CRITICISING JON BENJAMIN HAVE EITHER BENEFITTED FROM THIS KIND OF FRAUD OR ARE STILL PERPETRATING SAME. THERE IS NO COLONIALISM IN THIS NOR IS THERE ANY WHOREDOM HERE. THIS IS FRAUDULENT MISREPRESENTATION. KUDOS, BHC.

On 11/09/2012, the then Honourable and now former MP for Asunafo South George BOAKYE applied for >>> visas for himself and his 37-year old daughter, Joyce BOAKYE to visit a friend in London for 17 days.

The visas were granted on 14/09/2012.

On 17/01/2013 Joyce BOAKYE travelled to the UK with her Honourable father. Joyce BOAKYE did not leave the UK with her father, ....."

The best you can do is to appeal to the Home Office in the UK through an address I'm sure they'll freely give you from the Consular Section in Accra, but my ignorant friend, I can give you free advice that if you served as a guarantor for your so called 37 year old daughter who overstayed in the UK then you are also guilty as charged and therefore just swallow your pride and serve your ban!!

This lawyer needs to go back to SSS, the HC has immunity and cannot be prosecuted and any embassy can refuse anyone a visa for any reason.
No court can force an embassy to grant a visa to anyone.
