Nana Addo and the NPP are clever at using words to deceive. On the concession involving the ECG, the president said that they were negotiating 3 major issues: 1. That they wanted reassurance that there will be no involuntary retrenchment. This man knows very well that the original arrangement is that no worker of ECG will be retrenchment, and this had been made public at several fora in the past. Well perhaps Nana indirectly is telling the workers that voluntary retrenchment will be allowed deliberately by introducing measures and situations that would force/compel some of the workers to request for voluntary retrenchment. 2. That Ghanaians will own 51%of the Concession. By the way, a Concession is not outright sale, and mostly it is to bring in good management practices, expertise and finance injection over a period of time. Let Nana and the NPP tell us what they mean by 51% ownership by Ghanaians, who those Ghanaians will be and how that 51% will be derived. Talking empty language that will lead nowhere because this is not attainable ab initio. 3. That they are negotiating the reduction of the time frame from 25 to 20 years. This is much ado about nothing. It does no change anything. In fact the demands of organized layout, and ECG workers for that matter, have somehow been cleverly rejected and jettisoned by the very people who secretly pushed them into raising those issues with the then NDC government. Surely, the workers have been conned, and now it's time to use words to deceive them into believing that something new is being done. What a shame. Sadly, however, we have the ever empty-headed semi-literates parading as NPP supporters, sympathizers and surrogates displaying their sycophancy and lack thereof f basic understanding of the issues.

We do not as a state or the Reoublic of Ghana have any changed name yet to that of a socalled "republic". Ghana is a sovereign state and where the president's Press handlers keep calling or addressing him as the the president of the republic. This is a serious affrontory to the very Oath of Office he the president swore on January 7th 2017, to protect and defend the Republic of Ghana. Nana you are a servant of Ghana and not an overload or monarchial president. You are a "Republican" president of a nation cslled Ghana. Show us that love and uphold the respect us all as Ghanaians hold and cherish our dear mother Ghana. There is no two way tragfic here. Nana sorry to say you seem to be having a disdain for our beloved name Ghana. You can't do that. Ghana is Ghana. If you as the president of the nation is not at terms with the very country you have been elected to lead, how then do you expect the outsiders, some of whom have been testing your redolve albeit: the British Ambassador Jon Benjamin, who will be returning his small desk duty in a Foreign Service Department in London come August, the US Ambassador Robert Jackson, who has been trying yo shake down Ghans but to no avail and the Chinese woman, Biudoung at their Embassy in Accra for wont of red dragon galameseyers. Nana show respect to the name Ghana even if you don't like the name: Republic of Ghana. We are Republic and not an Imperial state where the will of the people rules. That is the reason why majority of Ghanaians prefered an elderly ststesman to a corrupt and value deficient younger one like Mahama. You are not leading a country named "republic" but a nationhold called Reoublic of Ghana or Ghana for short. Mr. President don't trumple down on our nation Ghana. If you din't like put it to refrsndum and take on a name like JB Danquah or any othet name of your choice. But until tben, the name Republic of Ghana supercedes all other names. Stop addressing our nation "republik" instead of Ghana. What was wrong with Mahama's dislike for Ghana can not pass for right under an Akuffo Addo govenment.
