As a matter of fact, the only people who can be accorded VIP status is the former president and vice and sometimes the former speaker of parliament, every other former minister or government official becomes an ordinary citizen. Infact, go read ur constitution well, well then u will understand. If every former government official from Rawlings time till now wants to use status to take VIP positions how would the VIP lounges or other places look like. This is fucking common sense. As a matter of fact, this story should not even make the news because it is absolutely nonsense.

What is this former diplomat complaining about? He is no longer a VIP; or did he need a reminder? His status as VIP came and ended with his position as ambassador. Apart from ex-Presidents and their deputies, no one else should consider the use of the VIP lounge as a matter of right. If any other former VIP is allowed to use the VIP lounge, it's a courtesy extended, and a privilege, but not a right. He appears to be a Muslim, so he wouldn't know the Biblical advice which states: when one is invited to a function, one should sit at the lower table. In this way if one is recognised as a VIP and is invited to the high table, one's ego would be boosted. On the other hand, if one, conscious of one's self-importance, makes a beeline for the high table, and is requested to descend to the lower table, well...

He stood against any attempt to drive away NPP sympathisesrs from government works because he said we were all Ghanaians but what are we seeing today in Ghana? My heart bleeds when i hear what is happening to other Ghanaians because they dont belong to the party rulling us. Is it by force that all Ghanaians should belong to NPP? Even our creator GOD does not force human beings to worship HIM. Its a matter of choices. Can Ghana be a one piece nation if these these unghanaian attitue continues? What will happen if there is a change of government in 2020 and the new leader also starts to retaliate against what is happening these days? Time will surely tell.

he is entitled to the use of a VIP lounge at the airport simply because of his prior positionas an ambassador or whatever. Does he want to tell us that we live in an Orwellian society or in a plutocracy where some are more equal than others?
Once you leave public office, it must be said in no uncertain terms that you revert to your prior position as any private citizen of land. In the interest of national security, VIP lounge must be strictly utilized by persons only authorized or permitted by the state.
This ex ambassador is entitled to nothing. We don't care about his empty boastful retaliation threats.
