Former prez. Mahama will be a disaster for the NDC in 2020 and 2024. By the way, NDC is likely to loose 2020 in the face of free SHS and other intervention by Nana Addo. It will be a miracle if NDC wins in the face of new voter register and National ID. Bear in mind they have 1 million deficit to surmount. As a former sympathizer (by virtue of my dad being a constituency chairman) i voted Nana Addo in 2016. JM has a baggage as any formal president would have. NPP will be jailing his ministers one after the other and this will affect his chances at the poles. Besides, he can only go for 1 term. NDC should rather groom a fresh face starting in 2020(which i know they will loose)> However, Ghanaian have sympathy for people when presented more than two times (eg, Mills and nana Addo)and i'm sure they will get the chance somewhere in 2024 if NPP mess up Bawumia or 2028/32 to be certain. Can Mahama wait all this while? Ghanaian will tell him he is not the only wise person in Ghana and NDC so should retire simply becos he has chop some before.Some people may insult me. Prez. Mahama apologist may be angry but will tell them to record this somewhere and see how event play out from now to 2020/24//28/32. Prez Mahama will be a hard sell. Come to think of it if NPP is able to give the North dams in the face of SADA? Can Mahama play the northern card again. Please do critical analysis as i do not want NPP to go beyond 12/16 years.

Run on Mahama's record? They shouldn't chance it. They should shit can the infrastructure nonsense. The electorate see infrastructure as a normal expectation. What can NDC do to make life better that NPP has not done? That will be the political question? The answer will be clear in two to three years.?
The party's leadership have squandered any moral authority they had from the Rawlings era to the NPP. It will take at least 12 years for current 6-10 year olds who will have no history to come dilute the electorate for them to win.
The party must start grooming some young unblemished Turks of Akan extraction for leadership if they have any hopes of wrestling power from NPP.
Spio, Bagbin and Alabi are spent bullets. Fake feathers! Haruna Iddrisu can be a Veep at best for show. He should learn from Maham's sub- uptimal governance performance that the best wines ( red) are aged. Take a page from the NPP. Military rule with young officers are history . Aged heads are deemed better.
NDC near term horse is Martin Amidu. He is the only competitive candidate with a fair chance in 2020.
NDC must strategically clean out the current Northern/Ewe leadership before the majority of Ghana's electorate will take them serious. The party now have evolved into the same type cast as NPP - Akan party . NDC is now seen as a northern/ Ewe party. Sad perception, but true.
Judging from NDC arrogance and tone deaf performance in opposition so far , there seems to be no hope for the party's resurgence. A "lame horse" indeed as JDM professed !!!
