Ashanti Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sam Payne, appears to be quavering in shoes with the thought of Mahama running again in 2020. Mahama has given no indication that he will run in four years, but that has not stopped these NPP people from speculating on his future political ambition. What this implies is that they are scared that their oldman Akufo-Addo, who will be 76 years old by then will be no match for Mahama.

Former president Mahama undoubtedly remains NDC's surest bet.The mere thought or mention of him send NPP's camp into a state of pandemonium. His love for the nations forward match to prosperity which some reffer to as political correctness sent us(NDC) to opposition.Some of his policies were good for the nation at large but bad for election. He stood for the nation at the expense of parochial interest which NPP naïvely took advantage of but are now quavering under same policies.In short,the policies that went against JM will become his strength. Because how can NPP gave away monies through tax abolition but go to borrow same with interest in order to fill up loopholes?

Having root for JM,JM need to go with Spiow Gabrah or Joshua Alabi as running mate for the sake of total unity.Either Spiow Gabrah or Joshua Alabi appearl to Chairman Rawlings and his followers which will invite their cooperation rather than confrontation as was the case for last election. Secondly and more crucially, either of them is capable of taking NDC into the future after JM's constitutional constraints.
