That is because your cedi is over-valued. K4 and Bawumia brought this hardship on us by changing the currency, and now things are costing 10 times what they normally would cost.

The so called prince charles must know that scarcity attracts high prices and that is the reason why the president has launched his programme of action to ameliorate the situation.In Ghana past Governments train people to come out to address certain economic challenges but when that Govt was no more in power,the next Administration did not take adventage to using them for the purpose they were trained.The president has said that,Agricultural specialists have been trained but woefully sitting down idly without been called to work.This Govt has resolved to curb the food shortages and the astronomical prices in the country by employing the trained people to help farmers with their modern skills to boost pumper harvest in the country.

The Nana Addo NPP government has the penchant of claiming what they know nothing about and have never dreamt of. This is a government which is quick to claim and rename what others have conceived, planned and signed for without any sense of shame. The so-called Planting for Food and Jobs is a John Mahama planned and worked-for project with the acronym, MAPLE, which was signed for with the Canadian government and was billed to commence in April 2017. Come Nana Addo into government, and he quickly sees this as an opportunity to claim glory for no work done. Now it has become the Flagsghip project of the NPP. Hmmmm!!! Surely these are a group of clueless people who are quick to swallow the vomit of those they labelled as incompetent. Some competent people indeed. Check all the things they are touting as their achievements, and you will find that all of them are NDC conceived, planned, designed and signed projects with adequate funding arrangements only waiting to be inaugurated: eg,Planting for Food and Jobs, and the so-called largest LPG fired power project in Africa, among others. On their own, these empty-headed noise-making braggarts and their surrogates have nothing new to offer this country. At best, we can only be subjected to fishy transactions like the dubious 2.25 billion dollars foreign bond which has been foisted on the country at a very high interest rate of 19.5, cleverly claiming it is a domestic bond. Meanwhile, we are condemned to the payment of about 400 million dollars annually as interest on this bond for 15 years, after which we will have to cough-up the principal of 2.5 billion dollars. Yes, that is what the competence of the NPP has brought to Ghana in 3 months. God less our homeland Ghana.

To turn these commodity food.crops and surplus foods into finished goods for export. If not, then these foods will go bad and all those hardowrk aimed at growing crops will be vainless. We can't allow food to.Go to waste. We must.find alternate ways of maximizing all commodity food crops like turning tomato to paste etc. Yam chips, yam powder,.starch etc. This what the tertiary institutions are for. Let them do research as part of their course work to find alternative end uses for many of these crops
