This is completely unacceptable; small and medium size companies that get these loans cannot repay due to the astronomical interest rates. The government should force the Bank of Ghana to reduce the interest rate with immediate effect. This Shylock interest rate should be eliminated. Ghanaian businessmen and women have suffered long enough from the highest interest rate in the world. Give us a break!! The bankers have linked up with the politicians to ensure that this unbearable interest rate never goes away. Shame on you NPP and NDC politicians for not doing anything about this important issue that affects businesses and creates unemployment.
I wish all companies and the TUC could start a campaign to reduce the interest rate.

I think that,this is not the right time the NDC should be at war as to who leads the party come 2020 ,as there is yet a greater task of re-organising the party, but however it is not a bad thing to think of who leads.

NDC needs a better team.A mixture of competent intellectuals,experienced old professonals, sensible traditional leaders and selfless youth with talent for organisation. They must convince the nation that next time ---after 8 years---they will be better organized, less wasteful and corrupt. Everybody says he or she was not corrupt.Nobody wasted state money. So how and why were they selling state vehicles among themselves ,doing auctions excluding the public at large ? Why did they allow visibly corrupt officials to go unpunished ? Why did they not bring in the army to stop the illegal mining? There are so many questions for the NDC to answer. The people have given Nana Addo his chance.Let us wait and see if can do any better. If he too fails we can only pray that NDC as a party is better pre pared to take over power again.
