  this foolish emphasis on academic excellence is the reason our nurses work so poorly in the hospitals. Nurses stand around for porters to bring patients on trollies to the reception halls and wait for a doctor to see them. In the old days, nurses came to the patient, asked them questions and took temperature, etc. Today they just stand and stare like mummies.
