If Prof Akosah is a Bretuni (Tena) and traces his roots to the same line as our forefathers, then he is more than qualified, forget about him not being from Abene or Aduamoa. Did you know Akuamoah Boateng himself was not the rightful heir? The whole confusion is from the Queenmother's side. They want to manipulate the succession to their side again with the connivance of Kwaku Asiedu and his followers. With Mampong stepping in, the "connection" is now spoiled for Abetifihene. It's not the best but given the corrupt ways Kwaku Asiedu has been handling matters as acting Omanhene, we must accept it. Traditionally, it's not illegal.

and none of them have set a foot at Abene for over two and half years ago. Tell them to come at deny it. The reason both of them are coursiy this shameful act against Kwahumanhene was because they had been collecting money from unscrupulous contenders a d was taken by surprise by the enstoolment of Akosa. Since they have to refund the money collected. My suggestion here is that lets all go to the drawing board and sort this matter once and for all.

Those who know Kwawu history will know that when Nana Baadu was going to fight the "Ataa Rafram" war at Asresu, has left the stool in the custody of Abene and Abetifi. After he won the war he stay there for awhile. When he returned the conniving chief refused to return the stool.

Look around and see all overlords in Ghana who goes to the palace of the Queen of England? She has never invited anyone apart from the Ashanti King. Ashanti became pieces because of politics but still those from that part of Ghana know their roots. Akwasihu in Kwahu ridge,I'm not sure if I got the spelling right but I know they are also from Asante Juaben, the two stools they occupy for the chief and queen mother both come from Juaben and they still hold on to that, it is as Worawora in the Volta region come from Kontunase near lake Bosomtwe in the Ashanti region. The history is there and the people know their roots. Akim Oda Kotoku manhene is also from the Ashanti region and it goes on and on. They seperated because of war and that doesn't make one to forget where he/she come from.

It was a huge task involving bravery and hence the name "Kwa wuo" because confronting the Ewe bands were deemed suicidal 2-another story tells of a dispute over the enstoolment of a new Asantehene: a faction in Mampong refused to release the Golden Stool for the ceremony because they disagreed over the heir. It's the duty of Mamponghene to keep the stool and act in the absence of Otumfour. As a result, hostilities broke out between the Kingmakers and a military force ordered to storm Mampong. Here again, the meaning of Kwawu comes in, as a group decided to leave, instead of "kwa wuo" from the impending slaughter. WITH the Juabens in Koforidua, there is no such history of animosity or contentions with their migration. As a result, both New and Old Juaben have been "fine." Then came the famous Bond of 1844. Britain wanted to dismantle Ashanti Empire once and for all. If they could get the peripheral states to pull out of the mighty kingdom, it could be weakened. Britain offered such protection to Kwahu in 1844 and it became officially detached from Ashanti. If someone knows other accounts, please feel welcome.

In our customary and traditional lineage however, Nsuta, Efiduase and Mampong are direct siblings of Kwahu. Otumfour and Nana Mampong gene may have to summon Abetifihene to scold him on his foolish call for rioting. He should know better that the "mogya" of royalty crosses borders everywhere, even in Europe.
