If that is what he wanted to do Why has he not been doing training courses to prepare himself for the role.

Personally I see nothing wrong with this move. Sometimes decisions relating to professional aspirations are not as straight forward as we would like to think. The important thing here is that having made the decision, he is doing what he needs to do to prepare himself for the position. No need to start splitting hairs on this.

It is a deficit to the black stars. They want to qualify for the WC and you throw at them a trainer who is going to be trained himself.
The best decision is to keep the original trainers whiles kingson himself gets trained ...

I agree with you that he should have done these courses long ago but in all fairness, certified or not, Olele stands very tall in the goalkeeper training department than anyone in Ghana today. In Europe, the reason why they make players coaches before they even take coaching courses is because their players deal well certified coaches and get used to the required field practices. If he's to take this seriously, he can have FIFA's certification in a very short while. He's never a deficit to the B/Stars.

Normally one is selected for a job based on existing qualifications. Only in Ghana do we select first and worry about qualification later.

Since he's played in that profession and has dealt with quite some good coaches, that's classified as very good enough experience to take such a position. If you don't know just shut the f**k off and stop making unnecessary arguments.

Do you understand English? That is exactly what is meant by Mantey, that hockey will require an experienced trainer, not just someone who has played hockey. Football (soccer) differs a little.

Better sharpen your English language as this is what is implied in my previous statement : That hockey demands an experienced coach or trainer whereas in soccer, a player could be made a trainer. In the latter instance, our own John Paintsil is a classic example. Ryan Giggs of Man United also comes to mind in the EPL. Learn to read before spewing out anything from nowhere
