  This is a very ignorant presentation. Where does this ASP find the correlation between payment of dowry and domestic violence? This is a myth perpetrated by pseudo-scientific gender analysts. How does one explain gender violence in the US and Europe where there is no payment of bride price/ dowry( by the way people mistake these two concepts) and use them anonymously? . Domestic violence stemming whether from men or women is as old as humanity and very complex. The police man need to compare the statistics from the US or Europe before making such a spurious conclusion. Pathetic misinformation!!

  This show the quality of our institutional personals or officers running the system. why should anyone be surprise why the country is less progressing. Yes the DOVVSU officer is presenting an important endemic in the society however the bases linking violence and payment of dowry is flawed.
