Why is Kweku Baako meddling in the affairs of the NDC? Why is he preempting the outcome of the flag bearer contest in the party by consigning prospective aspirants, other than Mr John Mahama, to defeat? His argument in support of his position is disingenuous, to say the least. Listen to him : "...per traditions of the NDC any aspirant who succeeded in becoming president toward above other internal contestants each time he tried running for the second time." Missing from this argument is the fact that, Mr John Mahama isn't just any "aspirant who succeeded in becoming president", but rather, an incumbent who led the party to a disastrous electoral defeat. That makes a big difference. The outcome of the contest for the flag bearer of the NDC should not be considered as foregone in favour of one aspirant. It should not be forgotten, that the much touted infrastructural developments of the previous administration were not the exclusive accomplishment of Mr John Mahama, but of a collective, and inure to the credit of the NDC as a party. Assuming that Mr Mahama was by law barred from contesting for the presidency again, couldn't the NDC claim the accomplishments of the Mahama administration as its own? Does one man constitute a government? Thus, any aspirant who wins the flag bearer contest can campaign on those accomplishments, if he chooses to, or set his own agenda, as to what he has to offer to the people of Ghana. Accordingly, any member of the party who aspires to be a flag bearer, does not bring a disadvantage to the NDC, and should be given the opportunity to do so.

According to the NDC their vice-president always get the nod to top the ticket. They accused the NPP for not nominating Aliu Mahama for the 2008 elections as according to them they had always nominated their former Vice Presidents..........Atta Mills and John Mahama.

By their own account and tradition Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur should automatically get the nomination hands down. Lying lizards!
