  In the fight against Galamsey, I am yet to hear any comment from the professors at the University of Mines, Tarkwa. All the comments so far are from social commentators who don't have the professional know-how to do so. This is what has been done in the past and the problem is still lingering on. Why is it that when there are any political issues journalists quickly call lecturers in the political science departments of our various public universities to seek their opinions? The same applies to legal issues where we see legal experts falling head-over-heels trying to champion their individual legal opinions to tackle issues that deal with the law. How come that when there is a challenge with mining, the opinions of the mining experts are not sought but rather we allow social commentator, who mostly have backgrounds in the arts and humanities, to do all the talking . The solution to the Galamsey menace is in the bosom of the Mining Engineer and, in fact, besides being the oldest profession after agriculturists, they are the only professionals in the world who are trained as the ‘Jacks of all trades and masters of all’ and so have the ability to provide solutions to the Galamsey menace. It is time to involve these mining professionals to find a lasting solution - not a political or artistic solution - to the Galamsey problem.

  Kwasi Pratt is a member of the CPP but because he is a stomach politician, he now speaks for the NDC so that he can get some rewards (money etc) which the CPP is not able to give him. He had wanted to go to parliament in 1996 on the ticket of the CPP and have a good life but lost miserable (check the above results). The next best option was to be an unofficial spokesperson of the NDC and get some goodies.
  Kwasi, you are a career liar, evil, massively corrupt, pathetic and not famous. You are a terrible so called “senior journalist.” Nobody takes you serious anymore except, maybe, yourself.   The appropriate question for the Nana Akufo-Addo administration should be where are those Delta and Invincible thugs who are terrorizing people across Ghana while foreigners savage the environment? Would the president and his inner circle reward the NPP's band of terrorists for the restraint they are showing foreigners who are causing more harm to Ghana than any money someone could misappropriate or steal? Or has it not sunk in to these educated but ignorant class of administrators that environmental damage is hard to correct?

  needs to start from. Who were the 'big men' shielding her? Why have they not been arrested? Why should the Ministry of Works and Housing be the mouthpiece of the Okyenhene - whether he was involved or not? The law has to take its cause where there suspects or persons alleged to be involved in the 'RAPING' of our nation's natural resources.....ironically, for sex.
  
  Our so-called leaders have FAILED us! Both USELESS parties of the NDC and NPP have failed Ghanaians and have absolutely NOTHING to offer us.
  So, why do we GHANAIANS continue to waste their votes on these lot? They scavenge our rich natural resources with their oppressors, to the detriment of the future of our children......
