Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. There should be a difference between dressing to work and dressing at home. Even at the Teacher Training College student teachers are told to dress properly when going to teach. I only think jeans should have been allowed.

So she climbs it and when she gets back down the boy is stunned and has a scared look on his face.

What studies have been done that shows that such a dressing impact negatively on their image or their teaching? Somebody somewhere is using their religious belief that women should not wear trousers to make a policy that affects teachers. Any way it is the GES Council that has the power to make such a decision and not the signatory to the letter. It is how teachers teach that matters and not what they wear that becomes an issues in learning.

Everything sucks about the GES. A few years back, a workshop was held for English teachers at the Teachers' Hall in Accra. SSNIT was also holding a conference in an adjacent hall. During the lunch break, teachers were lined up and given plates to be served by some Kenkey sellers who had been contracted to cater for the teachers. On the contrary, the SSNiT guys were treated to an organised meal. Tables were set for them. GES couldn't do that in our own facility. Is teaching a cursed profession? It is good to have a dressing code but to say, 'don't wear this and that is a hallmark of backwardness. There are ladies who wear trousers and look decent. And what is that nonsense about wearing lacoste with pockets... for stuffing pieces of chalk or what? Come on, simply ask teachers to wear white short pants and a long sleeved white shirt with tie and a white pair of socks which stretches to the knees. It's time GES got rid of the old fashioned khaki wearing 'conductor political suit' officials who think they can impose their 'Colo' dressing on teachers. Fight for improved conditions of service. Organize workshops, and reward teachers. When you do these, the teachers will look "diplo".By the way ,why do students in some SSS still wear short pants to school. Will their employers love it when they wear short pants to work after the SSS?

However for the new rule to be effectively enforced, clothing and accommodation allowances for teachers must be instituted. I do think that this is a new rule. It has been in existence. Check the code and ethics of teachers. However the specificities couldn't be found in the code. Let teachers start the debate of clothing and accommodation allowance and abide by the directive of the director.
