Whether is practiced in the whole World or not,fact is,corruption is one of the worst crimes against humanity.So I was expecting Mr Mahama as a former President of Ghana,to condemn it in the fullest,but,not try to defend it,by saying not only Africans practice corruption.
The fact that not only Africans are practicing corruption,it has one of most destruktive effect on almost all African people.
So instead of going around to defend corruption,just because other countries practice it,Mr Mahama should help to fight against it.

The problem we have with global politics is why the western world persistently flirt with corrupt African leaders like John Mahama.Evidence to this is the fact that the western world had longstanding cordial relationship with the likes of Mobuto Seseko of Zaire and Iddi Amin of Uganda,two most notoriously corrupt African leaders until a fallout at some point.To invite somebody like John Mahama who presided over unprecedented corruption and illegality in Ghana as a guest speaker is an insult to the intelligence of Ghanaians and Africans at large.It clearly smacks of hypocrisy and double standards on the part of western imperialists who in my view is one of the major reason corruption is blossoming and killing us in Africa.One palpable reference to this is that so-called donor development partners like the World Bank and IMF have no conditions that clearly spell out punitive measures against misappropriation of funds or other forms of financial malfeasance.Western machinations like the International Criminal Court is just a conduit for political persecution and victimization of African Leaders who do not do their bidding as part of a grand conspiracy to loot African resources.Otherwise,one of the things the ICC should be doing is to probe and compel corrupt ex-african leaders to render accountability to citizenry or face charges.Corrupt African leaders who loot millions of dollars are far more a greater threat than isolated cases of so-called war crimes and crimes against humanity.I cannot imagine what crime supersedes looting of millions of dollars and enviromental degradation that directly affects millions of lives as pertaining in Ghana.Illegal mining in Ghana popularly termed 'galamsey' affected major drinking water bodies,aqua live and agriculture right under the watch of the corrupt Mahama Administration until recently as a result of a positive political commitment by the new NPP Government to fight it.Most annoying is the fact that Ghanaian lives were sacrificed in the interest of Chinese expatriates who took advantage of our flawed laws largely as a result of corrupt leadership to impune on our survival.Until a new government came in, who knew about the wicked deeds of Asia Huang under the watch of the Mahama Government and his cohorts?Oh yes,John Mahama maybe right by bemoaning corruption being a global problem.But we are talking about the magnitude,scale and depth of it.It is impossible for the Chinese lady to do what she did even in her native China for instance because good governance curtails corruption to significant degree and ensure rule of law.I am shell shocked the former president of Ghana whose records on corruption and illegalities is unsurpassed in the fourth republic was invited to speak at the World Economic Forum.The response of the Ghanaian masses to the excesses of corruption was reflected in the unprecedented colossal margin by which he lost as an incumbent,the first of its kind.Even in his native Northern Ghana he lost miserably which is quiet unusual in African politics.Organizers of the event i dare say committed a fallacy by choosing a deviant who has no moral integrity to speak particularly on the subject of corruption.Ghanaians are still reeling in pain and anguish because of his heartless iniquities,lack of respect for humanity,rule of law and fundamental rights of persons.

The issue on corruption is indeed a global one. Mahama knows nothing will happen to him. He also knows that wherever he has kept his loot, it will not be investigated anywhere in the world. Those banks that welcome stolen loot into their vaults are equally part of the problem. Be it in the UK or US, stolen loot is stolen loot. Yet these collaborators accept huge sums of stolen loot without caring who suffers as a result. Those monies are given back to us in the form of loans, grants, etc. If they stop accepting, the monies will stop going. It is as simple as that.
