When they got power, they started looting/stealing left and right with their leader Jdm getting more than the rest. The middle class also fighting hard left and right for wealth and properties. (Gas stations) The 3rd class who worked hard got nothing. Only about 3%of them got something small. So the 3rd class are now angry. They have divided minds. The 1st and 2nd classes are quite now but afraid of being prosecuted. So the unrest is showing up because they have worked for nothing.

In the first place, is Mahama the only viable candidate for the 2020 contest? To me, he seems like a spent shell with no futuristic significance. Before then, the NDC needs a new crop of leaders - the Asiedu Nketias', the Adams', the Anyidohos' and the old cabals must leave the scene for more energetic, action-oriented functionaries.

Ghana needs a real strong opposition so that we don't have a one party state. In this regard, some people or gurus in the NDC party who brought the party into opposition should be kicked out from executive positions and fresh faces introduced into those positions. There are experienced and matured people in NDC who can be in position to resurrect the party from death.
Mahama should also do the honorable thing of not contesting for 2020. Ghanaians are mostly aware how he supervised corruption, arrogance and disrespect during his regime. If he contests and Akuffo Addo performs creditably he would lose miserably and will be humiliated.

He shouldn't have allowed or permitted his staffers' to contest sitting MPs. What it means is that he supported his staffers' against the sitting MPs. Mr. President JM, any presidential staffer who nurtured the ambition and congested under your very nose ???? as MP when you were the president enjoyed your support against the sitting MPs. That's why there's division and rancor in the party. Permit me to say that your leadership style is very porous and appalling. Your appointees were arrogant and disrespectful to the elderly and Ghanaians and u didn't see it and you're still defending your weaknesses. You could have asked your staffers who had nurtured the ambition to contest as MPs to resign their post.
This could have saved the party from divisions we are seeing now. You had the greatest opportunity to become the best president in the forth (4th) Republican constitution but u failed to utilize it. Please drop every ambition u have to lead the party in 2020 because u will lose miserably.
