SOURCE : ADOMONLINE.COM -------- A New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communicator, Kwame Baffoe, has called for the dissolution of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament. ‘Abronye DC’ as he is referred to speaking on Adom FM’s Morning Show, ‘Dwaso Nsem’ Monday argued that the dissolution of the constitutionally created body is necessary because the committee has failed to live to its mandate. The Committee despite having the powers of a High Court, Abronye DC said has failed to convict persons who are implicated in the Auditor General’s report that appear before it. “The Public Accounts Committee must be dissolved, people appear before it and just fail to justify why the loot monies from the state coffers…instead of convicting them, they allow them to go scot free without arresting them…,” he argued. The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) studies public audits, invite ministers, permanent secretaries or other ministry officials to the committee for questioning, and issue a report of their findings subsequent to a government budget audit. Several persons have appeared and confessed before the committee of misuse of public funds with some of them begging for forgiveness. Abronye DC commenting on the failure of the committee to order arrest of people therefore argued that the country will be better served if the PAC is dissolved and an alternative found to retrieving monies stolen from the state from public officials and politicians. “Why are they not arresting people, they should do so to serve as a deterrence to others because they have the powers of a high court…they only permit people to go and just defend themselves in a shallow manner…,” he said.

The sycophantic and opportunistic journalist Alhaji Bature will never stop the bidding of John Mahama for pittance.It is a shame for an old journalist who is supposed to be a role model for younger ones stoop so low without conscience.To revisit an old story is cheap,lazy,ingenious and mischievous.It is a huge indictment on Alhaji Bature's integrity who was one of the key beneficiary of the corruption he helped liberalized and promoted under the Mahama regime.It is still an audacious but stupid move to justify the wanton corruption under his paymaster JDM by prawling and looking for scapegoats in the person of the former first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings.Unlike the gullible Bature whose stable is only open to wealthy people who can pay bribes for dubious news paper publications,the former first lady's office is open to all and sundry including the poor and vulnerable who she helped in so many instances.Go to Nana Konadu's office anyday,anytime and you are treated with respect and dignity irrespective of who you are just like his husband's office.Even characters like Alhaji Bature metamorphosed into oligarchs and worshiping demagogues all because of corruption,reckless,wanton dissipation of public purse in the interest of cronies under the Mahama Government.The likes of Alhaji Bature who have now become the mouth piece of the beleaguered and confused JDM became rich overnight because of failed leadership,reckless and irresponsible governance.All these antics will not in anyway help JDM in the NDC primaries.In fact it will be huge political miscalculation and inevitable political catastrophe should JDM be allowed to surreptitiously maneuver his way through to lead the NDC as he seeks to do.There is no way he will win any election against Nana Addo given the evidence of gargantuan corruption and mess in governance and management of the economy.Unrepentant cronies like Bature should have a sober reflection and not try to mastermind an agenda that will further destroy the NDC and compounds its problem for their narrow parochial interest.The NDC grassroots and loyalists including cadres who have not been tainted with the corruption brush must rise up and defend the course of the party and its social democratic credentials.I have made the arguments many times that the heart of hungry and angry masses can never be won through empowering few elites illegally to be used as catalyst or conduits to deceive or sway the masses into the highest political office.Victory can only be guaranteed when you come down to the grassroots masses,listen to their concerns and solve their problems.Indeed JDM ruled with iron fist to the extent of even targeting,victimizing and persecuting NDC loyalists perceive to belong to the Rawlings camp who just did not campaign for him but funded his campaign in 2012.We watched him and his inner circle of cronies display all the authoritarianism with arrogance and impunity whiles we wallow in pain,torture,misery,rejection and deprivation.Like the proverbial ostrich who buries the head and pretend nothing is happening,he suffered the rocket fire of the NPP with that devastating defeat and yet to recover.He will do himself a lot of good by living a quiet life and enjoy his booty instead of continuing with these vindictiveness and tendency towards personal vendetta.He is a hated figure in the party now and likely to court more hatred if he remains unrepentant in blackmailing and defaming especially the Rawlingses using hired agents and assigns.It is now becoming increasingly clear that JDM is bent on destroying the NDC as a party by sowing seeds of discourse and encouraging factionalism.It is obvious it is all about his self centered agenda and personal aggrandizement irrespective of the consequences to the NDC as a party.He holds an unenviable record as the only incumbent losing by such a wide embarrassing margin under the umbrella fraternity.The party may take such a long time to recover from this irreparable damage and he must be seen co-operating rather than engage in destructive tendencies because he is still the leader as it stands now until the next congress.IT MUST BE NOTED THAT NANA KONADU WAS NEITHER CONVICTED WITH EVIDENCE OF CHARGES AGAINST HER NOR PARDONED BY THE KUFFOUR GOVERNMENT.IT IS A PALPABLE LIBELOUS ARTICLE JUST TO DIVERT THE HEAT ON JDM.

Rawlings again came back despite having a family,he sacrificed his life again to get this country straightened of the rot this ndc the party he formed is muddied with. He formed the PNDC in which he carved the ndc demonic party from,little did he know that, the party he had formed was being attractive to criminals and evil people who needed solace and a place to hide and to perpetuate their evil and criminal intentions. He never knew the umbrella symbol and the akatamanso slogan meant something different from his ideology, he never knew it was for the criminals and nation wreckers haven to fire their missiles. He has now found his party which his wife was the sole architect behind the formation of that party to be consisting of hardened and unrepentant criminals who have turned now against him and his family with insults,denigrating and even death. Such is the life of helping people you think they were being denied justice so there must be justice for all and now Flt Lt Rawlings those you fought for justice are now denying you and your wife justice. My little advise to you is your next coming to this earth, when you see people being denied justice ask why or walk away never try to help them because after wards they will turn against you. He dropped the case immediately the NPP lost the election to the NDC. I recalled interviews that I had with Mrs Rawlings, Dr Toni Aidoo and Joe Ghartey on Voice of Africa radio. Dr Aidoo said clearly that when the NDC comes to power they will drop the case against Mrs Rawlings. To which Joe Ghartey responded 'is that what the NDC is going to handle cases being prosecuted by the state?' Mrs Rawlings on numerous occasions during the trial called it persecution. She accused Pr Kuffuor to be the mastermind behind her persecution. She was surprised that while she was pursuing a civil claim against the govt, the AG charged for a criminal conduct in the transaction involving Kadem formerly Nsawam Cannery. I can state for a fact it was I that informed Mrs Rawlings that the AG had dropped all charges against her. She was in Conakry, Guinea when I broke the news to her.

Who cares what Konadu Rawlings was charged with? The crux of the matter is trying to equalize and pull a "Gwarzo" when your Founder also complained about John Looter's stealing and thievery which had collapsed Ghana, for which reason, he did not endorse and did not campaign for him, and saw Konadu Rawlings forming her own party, cannot and will not fly and change the facts. And the facts are John looter Mahama and brigade of thieves and incompetents through stealing and gross ineptitude collapsed Ghana and they will have a good time in Nsawam. As for that one, there is no two ways about it. It is as true as a cork which can never be submerged under water. Secondly, Ghana will never give the NDC any chance again to lead this country and so it's either those who are marginally tainted leave that NDC party, and go and join the NDP and build momentum from there or find something else to do.
