The new president, a self-styled human rights campaigner, sits and supervises the release of thugs who storm a court of law, release suspects, damage court and government property, threaten the judge and other court officials. And the Attorney General has the audacity to instruct their release for 'lack of evidence'! What do they take Ghanaians for? The Montie 3's case pales into insignificance when compared to this blatant thugery

SOURCE: CLASSFMONLINE ------ The Government of Ghana is reviewing the debts incurred by the John Mahama administration to find out whether the loans were used for the purposes of which they were contracted, Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Marfo, has revealed. After the review of the debt situation, the findings will be made public to enable the Ghanaian people realise how their moneys were spent by the previous administration, Mr Marfo added. It is recalled that during the electioneering season the then main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) accused the Mahama government of excessive borrowing but with little to show for, an assertion the then governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) rubbished because they thought they had embarked on several infrastructural projects with those loans. Mr Marfo speaking during the National Policy Summit on Tuesday May 16 said revealed that the new government is investigating all the debts left behind by Mr Mahama. “We are working on the numbers, the ministry of finance gives us the bulk numbers. But they do not all emanate from one source, we have some sitting in energy, some sitting in SSNIT and we are examining all. As a government and we are doing it gradually and slowly because we must be accurate. “We want to be sure that whatever comes out finally is accurate. The government owes it as a duty to keep the nation informed about these debts and what it was used for.”

In the Montie 3 case, the court jailed the culprits, and the president(JDM) freed them. In this case the coourt freed the Delta Force 8, not the president. So if the minority has questions they can go to court. No one is hind ...

In this case the Delta force who actually carried out the act, beat a security personnel, vandalized the court ,confronted a judge and freed suspects were not sentenced at all.

The AG just asked the judge to drop it. That is the difference. At least one day custodial sentence would have been enough to serve as a deterrent.

The muntie 3 actually went to prison. God hates hypocrites. Don't try to compare the Muntie case with this. I never liked NPP people because they are evil and hypocrites but they are yet to know the true meaning of the slogan ' the battle is the Lord's'. Before long Akuffo Addo will wish he never became president.

In the case of montie 3 the attorney general saw nothing wrong with the threat they issued on air,it took the Supreme Court judges to sight them for contempt of court and invited them and after their conviction,the lazy lawyers in the case made it clear that very day that they ll not appeal the case but ll petition the president to use his prerogative of mercy to free them.The delta forces got a window of opportunity because the police failed to be in court because the suspects were on bail and was coming from their homes,if the police had not grated the suspects bail them automatically they would've brought them from cell and that mean more of them would've been in court to avert what happened or could've been better placed to arrest the people in the act,if the Ndc think they ve video evidence then they should provide it to the police.Most of Ndc lawyers don't go to court so they don't know the what usually take place in court,that's why the lose case in court always,their best lawyer is David Anan.
