SOURCE: CLASSFMONLINE ------ The Government of Ghana is reviewing the debts incurred by the John Mahama administration to find out whether the loans were used for the purposes of which they were contracted, Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Marfo, has revealed. After the review of the debt situation, the findings will be made public to enable the Ghanaian people realise how their moneys were spent by the previous administration, Mr Marfo added. It is recalled that during the electioneering season the then main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) accused the Mahama government of excessive borrowing but with little to show for, an assertion the then governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) rubbished because they thought they had embarked on several infrastructural projects with those loans. Mr Marfo speaking during the National Policy Summit on Tuesday May 16 said revealed that the new government is investigating all the debts left behind by Mr Mahama. “We are working on the numbers, the ministry of finance gives us the bulk numbers. But they do not all emanate from one source, we have some sitting in energy, some sitting in SSNIT and we are examining all. As a government and we are doing it gradually and slowly because we must be accurate. “We want to be sure that whatever comes out finally is accurate. The government owes it as a duty to keep the nation informed about these debts and what it was used for.”

I can't believe that today the minority Ndc is talking about respect for our judiciary,in every court case the Supreme Court ruling becomes a case precedence yet they violated it ruling on the montie trio by trooping in in their numbers to sign a petition leading to the weak president mahama to free them,it wasn't signed by ordinary people but included lawyers in their party who failed to apply the moral reasons they give today.As we speak a murder suspect who entered the house of an mp and murdered him in cold blood was not incarcerated but going through all legalities to for prosecution to secure judgement,if the prosecution fails to prove their case and the suspects re freed do you blame the suspects?the fact that people appear is a video does not make them guilty,the video must capture a person in the act running away with the suspects.The Ndc does not ve good practicing lawyers,when lawyer Atta Akyea failed to defend Ken Kurancye in a contempt case,they said he was a bad lawyer but when they Ndc lawyers failed the montie 3 they Now came to the realization that the arguments Atta Akyea made in court was rather right,so the double standards of the ndc is more pronounced anytime a matter does not affect one of their own,it's for this reason and more that I can't never belong to the ndc,there's no way an illiterate can get educated under Ndc,they re so selfish,propaganda ll destroy they party and it's because they reward propaganda than the truth so every officer of the party's communication team must past the propaganda test before you can speak for the ndc.Even when it's affecting the fortunes of the party,they can't stop it,the likes of Kofi Adams,Koku Anyidoho,kojo Twum Boafo,Kweku Boahen,Omane Buamah,Oto Kornor led them to their doom,I pray that they stay long in opposition,even Ras Mubarak insulted the late prof.Mills to get onboard,he only apologized when he wanted to contest on the ticket of the party in ablekuma.If the ndc know what respect is they should first apologize to Mr Rawlings and the Supreme Court before assuming unsolicited position to talk for the judiciary because the last time I checked,the judiciary through the GBA can speak for themselves.

now you feel that somebody is trying to use his power to bully the law by setting them free, abi but when you were in power you did same to free montie 3, if you have left the punishment as it was given by the court , it should have given you the moral right to say any thing u like.
if we want to build a country for better society , we should stop holiganism and allow the law to rule all of us
