SOURCE: CLASSFMONLINE ------ The Government of Ghana is reviewing the debts incurred by the John Mahama administration to find out whether the loans were used for the purposes of which they were contracted, Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Marfo, has revealed. After the review of the debt situation, the findings will be made public to enable the Ghanaian people realise how their moneys were spent by the previous administration, Mr Marfo added. It is recalled that during the electioneering season the then main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) accused the Mahama government of excessive borrowing but with little to show for, an assertion the then governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) rubbished because they thought they had embarked on several infrastructural projects with those loans. Mr Marfo speaking during the National Policy Summit on Tuesday May 16 said revealed that the new government is investigating all the debts left behind by Mr Mahama. “We are working on the numbers, the ministry of finance gives us the bulk numbers. But they do not all emanate from one source, we have some sitting in energy, some sitting in SSNIT and we are examining all. As a government and we are doing it gradually and slowly because we must be accurate. “We want to be sure that whatever comes out finally is accurate. The government owes it as a duty to keep the nation informed about these debts and what it was used for.”

Hatred will prevent you from seeing the new Ghana. Fuel prices have been coming down from 4.5 Ghc per litre late last year to 3.85 Ghc now. Dollar has stabilized at 4.16 now from the rooftop 4.7.

Even JF Kennedy of the US appointed his BROTHER Robert Kennedy as Attorney General. Kuffour appointed Addo Kuffour as Defence Minister. Sorry Mahama, Rawlings and Atta Mills did not have qualified family members to appoint as ministers and DCEs. Anyway, Attah Mills appointrd Cadman Millsb and Samuel (his only son) as presidential staffers and nobody said anything.

NDC members should leave our hardworking and industrious president Akufo Addo to appoint qualified persons (whether from his family, moon, Jupiter, Mars, etc) to steer Ghana to prosperity.

Most Ghanaian journalists are a mess.... really.They kept quiet as the Mahamas plundered banks to near collapse, used government machinery for their private use and quarry businesses that only supplied stones at overinflated costs.They saw nothing!
Mr. Akuffo can raise his father from the dead and appoint him deputy president, not vice(we have a capable one already), and we would still not complain! At least we know our government purse in good hands and not in the hands of looters!

Donald Trump has his daughter working in the White House and so is his son in law Jerry Keshner. So Nana Akuffo Addo's daughtet can not work in her provate capacity as duly qualified Ghanaian? The writer referenced Daniel's mother as coming from Shai-Osudoku. If such is the case, then whoever is protesting has no case and s/he should be dismissed. Akuffo Addo's family members are persons and they seem to be highly educsted too. Mahama had an office for each of his brothers at the Flagstaff House who cordinated all the contracts that were being signed. Interestingly, the same people who are crying wolf, wolf, did not see any wrong doing in Mahama. NDC stop opposing for the sake of it.
