Amidu is right, however, the problem he has is that he is making a purely judiciary argument here, which is very valid. But this case is not only judiciary but has always been political from the onset. Is the assumption of lack of evidence accurate? Or has the police been compromised to temper with the evidence? That is the perception that hold sway on most people's minds. It is going to be extremely difficult for NPP to shake off that mistrust of the justice system and the government.

People are tired of the situation where criminals and gangsters associated with NDC and NPP are given political cover to indulge in gross indiscipline and impunity.

Nana Addo's promise of Rule of Law, has been hijacked by the devil he created (vigilantes) while in opposition. Now there is no difference between him and Mahama in presiding over selective justice.

You don't need rocket science to know if you attack a judge, it is criminal offense. Any idiot knows if you are not sure, you have to consult your superiors. I am not surprised when the Chief Justice said the quality of legal education in Ghana is falling. My grand mother would have arrived at a better conclusion than this pepeni jealousy vigilante.

I was a bit skeptical about the whole issue but it looks as if martin amidu has educated me now. use the law and forget about politics. don't try to please anybody. do what is in the books

You are assuming that there are no political influence at work behind all this. Look at the big picture. Why has the police failed to provide adequate evidence? Is it deliberate or is it incompetence? Are the police going to be sacked for incompetence or retrained or demoted? What are the consequences for the failure of the justice system, if indeed Amidu's argument is the be believed?
