NANA's ministers are very humble.
What is humble about buying a car for Ghc150,000, the equivalent of $35.715 for their own use?
Was it paid in cash? Hmmmmmmmm.
That's what I wanted to comment about!!!!! Am an employee of Volvo cars and the Xc60 and xc90 is around the same range!!! So if kantanka can make NOT cheap BUT lower models, I think we will patronize
The Kantanka vehicles are as expensive as those SUV's you've mentioned above because all the parts are imported. In fact, the Kantanka brand is just One-Stop-Assemble-Workshop where all these parts are simply put together und ...

The so called great nations started worse than this level. Let's support our own and stop playing mischief against our own people like crabs in a barrel.
The great nations started small and they actually manufactured it, not just assembling it.They also started from the small ones to the big range. Not trying to begin from the top .Wonder who gives them business advice. It's not ...

Ban this car. Dangerous trash.
Car companies in the world don't manufacture all the parts themselves. They buy the different components from several suppliers and assemble them at their plants
It only NDC evils who will see this as bad. it is the beginning. The manufacturer will get there one day if Ghanaians patronize his production.
Remember this is just an assembly plant and they are not the main manufacturers just that they have just given it a local name. Besides, the price is too high for the ordinary Ghanaians to afford except for the thieves (the ...

How many vehicles is the ministry of trade purchasing? Buying one for propaganda purposes means nothing.Let the ministry of trade use only Kantanka vehicles to show how serious they are about boosting local industry.
Are these vehicles actually made in Ghana or assembled in Ghana? It is still a very important step even if they are made elsewhere and assembled in Ghana. But let's stop this propaganda and characterise it properly.

Swiss Chocolate that is imported is made in Switzerland. Was the cocoa tree made in Switzerland. All car manufacturers donot produce all the parts they use. They import and assemble but agree Ford is made in USA right?
They call it Swiss chocolate, not Swiss cocoa.
Also most of the components of a Ford are made in the US/Canada/Mexico (Canada & Mexico are extensions of Ford's production process, and almost all design and testing is don ...

But how many people can afford the price of the home-made car? Why don't you reduce the price so as to increase the demand for the car?
His cars are too expensive aaba
Too expensive..ghanaians whines a lot
I am very excited by this gesture. But let us patronize it more.

Completely Knocked Down parts(CKD's) made in China and assembled here That's the truth and fact.Still an achievement though.
THESE VEHICLES ARE MADE FROM SCRATCH. SEE VIDEOS OF THE COMPLETE OF THESE VEHICLES IN THEIR KANTANKA WORKSHOP WITH VERY LITTLE MACHINERY OR NO MACHINERY AT ALL, EXCEPT DRILLS AND WELDING EQUIPMENT.
You so little or no machinery and all it tells you is that it was made in Ghana .Very smart if you.Must be magic or miracle. Was Obinim there Oh Ghana.

NPP has the blueprint, fact.
Buy Ghanaian vehicles to help create jobs in Ghana for our youths. if Ghana have jobs of this nature our youths would learn a skills and live and work in Ghana and not Kuwait or elsewhere.
Alan should also buy one for personal use with his money.Trade in all his Benz and V8 cars for Kantanka.Car with no second hand value for $38,000.00.Way to go.

For the Kantanka car brand to succeed in Ghana, the cost of the vehicles must drastically come down, how many Ghanaians can afford to buy a car for 150000cedis?
I manufacture tooth pick in my house at Opetekwei (Dansoman area). I am going to sell some to the Flagstaff house canteen. I hope I wont be thrown out.
I wish they concentrate on producing farm tools and small scale industrial machines. More so they can even produce tricycles which is on high demand now
No more manual cars
please make my advise
I thought the President had placed a ban on the purchase of vehicles. Has it been lifted?
So who is fooling who.
Hypocrisy at its best. we washed Amissah Arthur when he bought two of the vehicles.
Its better to buy a foreign car as compared to the local one considering the price
That's the key role of Adjoa Sarfo', "go for the procurement portfolio to ensure dad's products hit the market else my years of sponsorship of the party will come to nought.Michevillian/Agyaponvillian/Sarfovillianism at play.
Hit the market
I though the president has given directive to all MDAs not to buy any new cars ? Is the minister's action not in contravention of that directive ? Just asking ! Somebody pls answer . Or he is purchasing with his own money?
How many ministers or MPs have their children attending Technical or Vocational School in Ghana? Have you considered the running cost? Please give us a break. KNUST mo wor hor?
A whole Ministry and you buy only 1 SUV? What a shame. Buying 50 or more vehicles for your ministry is not even enough!
