Let these so called small scale miners go to hell, we're tired of their threats. Their activities are worse than those they call galamsayers. They should sell their excavators and other equipment to sandwinners and the big gold mining companies and go into alternative source of livelihood. No bank can chase them for anything since the purpose for which the loans were granted has been banned by the state. The worse the banks can do here, is probably, seize their equipment. I also think those loans were insured so the banks could refer to the insurance companies. They should stop throwing dust into our eyes before we charge on them.

HOWEVER, IMMEDIATE AND EXPANDED PUNITIVE COUNTER-MEASURES APPLY WHEN NEW GUIDELINES ARE ABUSED. THIS IS A WIN-WIN SOLUTION TO STOP THE CHOO BOI.

Mahama encouraged allowed galamsay to flourish because it mostly happens in Akan lands and destroys Akans and their environment. There is nothing in the north or volta to be destroyed.

There's limestone for cement spread across the north, there's rock salt in the north, talk of share butter. The beans we use to produce "koose" and the millet for "kooko" that u queue every morning to buy is from the north. Bulk of the yam and maize that feed u in the south is from the north. Bulk of the cattle meat that provides u with protein in the south is from the north. Now, tell me, in terms of food what the south supplies the north directly u tribal bigot. Surface/Alluvial small scale mining is an evil which should not be tolerated in Ghana again under any circumstances! This oft repeated livelihood argument has no place in protecting the environment and this so called Association of this group of small scale miners should organise to use their dirty ill gotten money to unite and go into deep underground mining which is less destructive to our forests, farming lands and water bodies! In fact, the water pumped out of the underground mines can even be an additional resource for farming and cattle ranching activities as well as a source for clean treatable drinking water!!
