THE GERMANS DEMARCARTED THE LAND BETWEEN THEM AND OTHER COMMUNITIES AND THAT DEMARCATION WAS ACCEPTED BY ALL. IT IS ONLY THE ALAVANYOS WHO AFTER ACCEPTING DECIDED IN 1982 TO COME BACK AND DISPUTE IT AGAINST THE NKONYAS. HENCE THE WARS. ALL THE COURT RULINGS ARE THERE TO SEE. tHIS KILLING IS ABOUT land. The new Regional Minister is very very wrong. The only rreason this kiling is going on is this: ONE GROUP OWNS THE LAND AND THE OTHER WANTS TO TAKE IT BY FORCE. PERIOD. I can solve this problem in one minute. Look the answer is not curfew, not seizing of guns, not asking them to stop fighting, not police, not army, not seizing of land. ANSWER IS THIS: ASK THE TWO PARTIES TO EACH SHOW THE EVIDENCE THAT IT OWNS THE LAND AND YOU WILL KNOW WHICH OF THEM OWNS IT AND ASK THE OTHER TO STAY AWAY. FULL STOP. If two people are disputing over one [roperty what do we do? They go to court and the court decides and it ends. If the loser continues to behave as if it owns the land, that is contempt of court and you take action against him. This land matter has been decided in favour of one group from lower courts to Supreme Colurt. The other is only tresspassing and the Regional Minister, instead of asking the right qurstions is saying it is not about LAND. TOTALLY WRONG HE IS. JUST ASK EITHER TO BRING PROOF THAT IT OWNS THE LAND. THEN YOU WILL KNOW WHO THE TRESPASSER IS AND YOU TAKE ACTION AGAINST HIM FOR CONTEMPT OF COURT. THIS IS THE SOLUTION. NOT STATIONING SOLDIERS OR POLICE ON THE LAND. IT BELONGS TO ONE GROUP. PURE AND SIMPLE.

The minister right of his speech. now a a day's the conflicts are more about the issues concerning land,its all about retaliation and revenge. imagine if your father was killed untimely you wouldn't be free without revenge possibly you will call for play back.With my observation and witnesses most attacks and renewal of the conflicts always comes from Nkonya.I think they have vigilante group which have been causing the dispute and the nkonya township is aware of it
