It is on record that the vacancy was advertised solely for employees of the Ministry of Health to apply. Dr Anaba was not even supposed to be interviewed, since he was not an employee of the ministry. However, Mahama just went ahead and appointed him with a sweet deal contract which had political undertones. Dr Anaba can head to the court and proof to the judge how he was appointed over the legitimate Ministry of Health employees, and also challenge the current government's authority to transfer him to another sector. I believe the he government has the right to transfer or terminate an an employee's job with or without cause, and more so if there are reasons to show that the continued stay of the said individual is inimical to the work assigned and the general health of the company and its other employees

The idiocy of Dr. Anaba's fight with his employers is waging his personal issue on the airwaves instead of level headed negotiation. This is a country of laws? If he has a contract he should go to court to enforce his contractual rights. He needs to understand he is not owed his position at the Ridge Hospital. If he wants to play politics with his situation , then that is choice but he will loose. His employers , the government has the legal prerogative to reassign him or let him go within the context of his contract. He is not owed his job by some natural right. His position at Ridge is now gone. All he has is the enforcement of his contractual rights and he should go to court and stop this undignified nonsense on the radio.. No one is indespensable. And no professional worth his dignity would behave like Dr. Anaba?

The hospital renovation was such a hot issue in parliament between opposition and NDC that, anyone appointed to head the place at the time under John Mahama would be asked under any government so as to allow =the new government look inside properly to see if things were properly done or not.
