  What the writer has written is the plain truth also in the Upper West Region. While jobs are being provided ffor some, it is a big risk for life and limb to see how these tricycles operate here in Wa. The drivers are under aged, not licensed and drive carelessly in traffic thereby risking causing accidents. Police must insist that all tricycle riders and motor cycle riders obtain a License.

  I'm fully in support of such ban. it is a reasonable directive to protect lives n properties of both the owners n d general public.

  i think the tricycles are helping a lot of commuters in the upper east region. banning them without an alternative is going to seriously affect some people.workers who go for duty at night and those who close at 8pm all use this means of transport because they don't have alternatives or the alternatives are too expensive. every wise person must first of all think of alternatives before banning. Is REGSEC saying that the accidents happen only at night and early dawn? what i think the REGSEC should do is concentrate on ensuring that the bikes are properly registered, and the that the riders are duly licensed. this ban is totally unwise.

  I think what is needed here is training. The tricycle drivers must go through thorough training before licenses are issued to them. The police can then check the particulars of drivers at any time and to ensure the latter comply with driving rules. As the ban will only last for a month, my assertion is that the authorities will use the time to assess the situation to come out with lasting solutions to avoid bringing business activity to a standstill.

  This is a wrong move if the reasons given by the authorities is anything to go by,look one can not overlook the importance of their contributions to the public,the police always take the easy way out when it comes to thinking and solving problems,if juveniles re driving with licence you arrest them,more traffic policemen should be employed to direct traffic and arrest offenders.If there's duplication of number plates by DVLA you arrest such bikes and call them to come over to explain or fish out the feck ones for investigations to go on leading to arrest of perpetrators.If you go to the northern regions and see the contributions of this bike you ll mavel so why the rush to pick an easy bone police?we can't manufacture anything yet we talk like a manufacturing country.The people must come out to demonstrate against this move it's simply not in anybody's interest to allow this directives to work,yes some take overload and that's why we pay the police,what alternative ve they provided to help passengers after 6:00pm?lazy minds at work.
