The Kufuor administration focused on the private sector as the engine for development for 8 years. In the end, selected private sector elements benefited from state largesse without any trickle down benefit for society.
The state colluding with a section of private sector businesses creates a government for the elite.
It appears now that the Akufo-Addo wants to create favorable conditions for the private sector while throwing poor workers to the sharks.
Just imagine appointing 120 ministers and then cutting taxes for private businesses while a bunch of workers are left unemployed.
The Akufo-Addo administration appears to be short innovative progressive ideas, certainly not with Alan Kyerematen in the mix of decision-making; the guy is hollow.
