When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

It is the responsibility of ministers who have recently taken up appointments in their various ministries to fish and uncover the rot in their ministries prior to taking office.None of these rots would be uncovered otherwise, particularly with executive directors and directors still sitting at their posts. These are the worst kind of corrupt public officials and until they are all replaced, we can never move forward in the fight against corruption.Once the rot is uncovered and the perpetrators handed in, then of course ministers can stay out but not completely. They will have to furnish law enforcement with the necessary information required for prosecution. So they will be part of the ongoing process. They can't stay completely out!

The npp witchhunters will end up witchhunting themselves out of office. Every objective person can see that they are either playing propaganda with we the citizenry or they just want to witchhunt. Every country has laws and institutions incharge of fraud but not ministers and so-called spokes persons of government and ministers. Why won't npp allow the institutions of law to work? Why are they in such a hurry to witchhunt? We all know npp has said so many things including lies during the campaign to win power but they should not be in such a hurry to witchhunt when there are no witches in such areas to witchhunt. This is because the state Ghana is a creature of law but not mayhem or anarchy. They should also remember that democratic power is not permenant or is not for perpetuaty. A word is always enough for the wise.

I can also arrest and implicate u in a crime u didn't commit, maybe just because I hate you, that is why state institutions take their time to investigate before coming. Anybody at all can be accused of crime, but some may be innocent, in Ghana we say and do many things out of mere suspicion, which is not good. Haven't u ever seen an innocent person lynched or beaten to death because someone raise false accusations? U and I can be victims so we must be care. I remember in primary class 5 one student made some vulgar comment about our teacher, others ridiculed him, the matter was picked up and we were all asked to point out the culprits, out of fear that the whole class would be punished if we fail to identify the culprits, some pupils began pointing fingers at just anyone, and one girl mentioned me as one of the people, I was shocked because I never said or did anything, I was a cool type who does not even talk in class. We were given grass to weed on the school compound, I went and reported the issue to my Dad, the two of us went to meet the girl in the presence of her father, and when my dad and her's asked if I said something about the teacher, she said no, they asked why she pointed me out as one of those who did wrong, she stood looking at the ground without any word. That was in 1979, it hurt me but I bore the punishment, and as kids then, I have forgotten the hurt, but I have not forgotten the incident. Issues must be handled with caution without rush, so we don't end up punishing innocent people while criminals escape free.

When has the BNI or any intelligence agency held a press conference to speak to matters on the investigation radar?
The people voted for the government. In the spirit of accountability, they must be informed about what is going on with their resources.
To the extent that the Minister of Information relayed factual and accurate information regarding the matter, there's nothing wrong.

Those so called facts were denied by some of the people implicated in the matter, so who has the facts now? And who is telling the truth? I personally think it was not prudent for the minister of information to come out, if after investigations those involved were alledgegly found culpable of committing the crime, process them for court, then the minister can tell us about the case, but even then, he can't tell us if those involved are guilty or not until the court pronounces its virdict. That is how rule of law works. Now u came out to say the person stole money, confessed, and started refunding it, the person came out to deny what u said, is this going to help us?

I personally understand what you are saying that the politicians should not interfer in the fight against corruption. That is the ideal way way as you have rightly stated. The issue is this fight is not coming from the state I institutions but from a leader of a particular party with his trusted political appointees. The so called state institutions are the ones championing corruption in the country. Prof, tell me which state institution in Africa has the the will, the power and corruption free officials to INVESTIGATE past political or state officials? This exercise is an agenda of a political party and, therefore, will come with a political tone. Let us remove politics and see if any of the institutions can even initiate any meaningful investigation. Until our institutions are strengthened, there will always be political influence. Even in America, most of these investigations are initiated by political parties and are debated on tv with political motives.
