The senior national team, the Black Stars failed to win the AFCON 2017 in the same Gabon, the first major competition under the Akufo-Addo led NPP government.
Just after that our Black Starlets also failed to win the U-17 AFCON. We are hosting the WAFU tournament, are we going to see a better performance from our local Black Stars, even going further to win the cup? We are also hosting Ethiopia in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers. Now that the beginning is poor, what will the end look like?
Apart from our failure in football, the country has witnessed an unprecedented bloodshed in terms of road accidents, suicides, lynching, beheading, etc and other forms of negative stories about our country. Are we reaping something we have sown as a nation?
