The journalist's employer should be very concerned how their employee generated so much personal revenue, much more than the radio station, far above his annual income, from hosting a popular programe. Media owners must put full income and gifts dislosure clauses in the employment contracts they offer journalists to ensure that their platform is used ethically.
They must also quarterly disclose and update the names of their private clients and the types of services rendered to ensure they are not serving parochial interest or becoming a conduit for media capture and manipulation by political or business interests.
