In fact there's no evidence to suggest this soldier was lynched by the residents of Denkyiraboase or whatever the place is called. In fact there's no any evidence that a soldier was lynched in the first place.

Every one involved, the unit member, the hooligans in the villages, the assembly man who ordered the youth into action, including the woman who assumed he was an armed robber, should be brought to account for complicity in his murder. If this actions are not taken, we will continue to face the same problems over and over again. What a waste of life and an embarrassment to the society.

This is a sad incident. It is a barbaric act and must be condemned by all Ghanaians. I stand to be corrected on this deployment of soldiers’ issue. Just last week or so when the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources raised an alarm that some soldiers from the 4th Battalion, Kumasi were guarding an illegal mining site, in Ashanti Region, the military issued a statement that all troops have been called to barracks according to their records from all units across the country. The statement went on to say that the “unformed men” were impersonating the military. When was the detachment deployed? Less than a week? More than a week? Majority of Ghanaians are in support for the fight against ‘galamsey’ so once you come out to publicly deny that soldiers are not protecting any mining site, community watch dogs will consider that any soldier found at any mining site is operating on his own. This is problematic. While the DCE of the area is giving intelligence available to him, the Defence Ministry is also on a different path. The President last Friday 26 May 2017 in ceremony to commission Unit Colours to Recce tasked the GAF to spearhead the fight against ‘galamsey’. When was this detachment deployed?
