They partnered some unscrupulous business entities to peddle the mining equipment to these foreigners. I remember in the weeks running up to the 2016 general elections, the NDC were giving out their tainted largess to some voters; with the condition that they invoke some deities and idols to swear an oath to vote for the NDC looting gangs. Upon all these evil deeds and unscrupulous efforts, they lost the elections with such an astronomical margins beyond the conventional wisdom. So with the money, the rigging, and the propaganda; with which they approached the elections of 2016; and still had all their efforts proved futile, how are they going to recapture the power, now that there are going to be new voters and national identification cards : To close all their loopholes?

As is the norm with Ghanaians, we are spending all our energy bemoaning the barbaric lynching of an innocent and gallant junior office of the GAF.

Which one of our so called leaders is going to ask the uncomfortable question, which is "what was the officer and his men doing there"?

Initial reports say that he went to relieve another officer who had been called away to sit some exams, which means the military had been there for some time.

So, was he there to protect the galamsey operations going on near the town and if so on whose orders?

If he was there to uproot the galamsey operations there, why was it taking so long, and in view of the potential reaction of the galamseyers to their operations being stopped, what was he doing jogging alone and getting lost in an unfamiliar area.

These are the questions we need answers to. Incessant hand wringing and loud lamentations will not bring this poor man back but answers to these question may prevent another poor soldier, simply obeying orders, from meeting the same fate.

NDC continues to exhibit the same foolishness that propelled them into opposition. Victor Smith hit the nail on the head when he said that NDC have no chance at the ballot box if they continue to keep the likes of Asiedu Nketiah, Kofi Adams, Koku Anyindoho etc. Between these people they have alienated most people from that party, it's a real shame. We need an effective opposition party, not this hopeless people.

Absolute senseless accusation. Why is the NDC mocking the Mahamas? Why can't NDC accept the simple fact that they lost the rlections drastically? After all the past government and NDC party left the people of Ghana jobless in all the regions by stealing and pocketing the countrys money for their families. This is not the time to politicise the poor man's death. The likes of Assiedu Nketiah think they can shift our minds from their stolen money. Leave the president alone cause he has already promised to punish the culprits. Show some respect for the dead. Accusing Akuffo Addo wrongly is not going to bring the soldier back. We should rather pray for his soul and pray for the family.
