This's ostensibly a preemptive move by the NDC, to point an accusing finger at the NPP, knowing that the soul and breath of this incident came as a result of their incompetency and penchant for amassing ill gotten wealth. The NDC due to their wickedness invited foreigners e.g. The Chinese and Russians and fronted them to aquire permits under shady documentations to destroy our environments. They partnered some unscrupulous business entities to peddle the mining equipment to these foreigners. Their businesses even evaded the taxes that were supposed be paid for importing these heavy duty equipments to this country. So now knowing that the backlash of their obvious shady dealings in imminent, they've made a U- turn to blame the NPP administration that is cleaning their mess. This why Ghanaians now hate everything about these leeches and hypocrites NDC looting party,

As much as I loathed the idea of Akufo-Addo's Presidency, I cannot see myself blaming Nana Addo for the Galamsey. If any Government deserves to be blamed it is the most recent past one.

The Mahama Administration had every opportunity to stop the practice even if it did not begin on its watch. It would be most disingenuous to blame the long neglect of the atrocious scouring of our landscape, and polluting of our environment, especially, the water bodies, on the NPP Government that has even barely had time to sit down for business.

The current fatalities in efforts to stop the illegal mining stem from allowing the criminal practitioners dig their roots deeper into the illicit business. As much as I try to avoid injecting any tribalism into why Mahama did little to nothing to intervene in that dangerous and criminal behavior of Galamsey, I sometimes wobble under the weight of those who suggest he let it happen because the affected areas were all in the Akan zones.

It is only when I tapped deeper into my better humanity to toss out that suggestion, thinking he was simply an aloof President who delegated too much to his incompetent surrogates. Yet, I still mourn for the loss of our Forests, for example, for which reason we have started importing Wood for the first time in our existential history. What an indictment against all of us, especially, Mahama's Administration on whose watch that wretched state of our Natural Resource slammed us in the face! For that alone, I wish the NDC never come back to Power.

I think National Security and Science and Technology ought to have been included in the Cabinet. And the Ministry of Rural Development should have replaced Special Initiatives.

The solution is amend the constitution and put a ceiling on the number of ministers to say 30. (10 regional and 20 cabinet) that will save us all this brouhaha not forgetting saving us money too. this will prevent us from having the gargantuan governments we have been having since the inception of the 4th republic
