  We need to look after ourselves as Ghana. Apart from Nigeria, Ivory Coast and guinea the rest of so called ecowas will drain our economy dry and introduce boko haram to Ghana. Ecowas must die!

  It's only people/countries who share similar/identical values and goals who must speak of merging. Ghana must stay out of ECOWAS until such time that the 16 or so member countries share core values in governance; economic/financial/monetary matters; respect for human rights and civil liberties; adherence to common legal and judicial thinking; etc. Above all, keep the citizenry informed of the process to create awareness.
  
  It must not be forced upon the people. Create benchmarks, like the EU has to determine if a member of incoming is in violation of the core values of the union.
  
  We must NOT rush 'into this thing.'

  I'm getting disappointed, Mr. President. Forget about this nonsense lectures and take care of domestic issues. The country is getting to boiling point. Charity begins at home.

  Unnecessary travelling and talking... I believe Nana thinks he is still the Minister ofForeign Affairs. What will integration with W/A states offer Ghana? Kwame Nkrumah was accused of neglecting Ghana in favour of regional integration. I still believe it's premature. An association/union of poor people/countries won't be beneficial. We should be selective and pursue policies with countries mutually beneficial results
