This is a very unfortunate and sad situation in the nation history that a ranking officer in the army has been murdered to the extent that every Ghanaian should condemn. The whole nation is mourning about this unfortunate loss and all condemn it and console the family for the loss. But is this the first time someone who is innocent has been lynched in Ghana? Is Asiedu Nketiah saying no one was lynched during Mills/Mahama administration and even the 19 years of military dictatorship. Many innocent people lost their lives during these periods and no one dare ask why. Who has found out that all those that are lynched in Ghana are really armed robbers? I am sorry to say that, but it is just that the late Captain Mahama has a name to his credentials that is why the whole thing is unfortunately blown out of proportion. If the late Captain Mahama would have been someone else, he would have been classified as an armed robber and case die, and no one will even hear about it left alone reporting, but in this case it is not. Let not NDC stupidly play politics with this issue. Nana Akuffo Addo did not take a brick or block to kill the late Captain Mahama. This is a crime that has been committed by a community and there are laws in Ghana which should be allowed to deal with those found palpable. To call for Nana Akuffo Addo to resign just because of this is just STUPID on the part of Asiedu Nketiah and his NDC. Let us not play politics with issues like this and face it uniformly as a nation other than that we will never go forward as a nation.
