No benefit system how could young girls survive with some parents not earning enough to look after themselves let alone pay rents, food, schools and then an feed a young adult with no job. Unless the Govt earmarks money for giving to young adult to stop them from getting into this trap our young would to be lawyers, doctors will all fall in to this trap on prostitution. There is no unemployment benefits for young adult who have just finished Uni or SHS and needs a little start up money to survive. Ghana Govt must look into this poverty trap and stop the prostitution among young vulnerable adult. At least giving pocket money to live on until they find their feet will not go far but would stop the trend of young prostitute on our high street.
