Ghana is in principle NOT a Banana republic where soldiers can go on rampage and brutalize citizens whereas we are a parliamentary democracy with law enforcing agencies and a judicial service supposed to deal with criminals and crooks. Soldiers taking the law into their own hands because they have arms are only seen in bogus and failed countries where there is no democracy. The era of army coups and brutalities are gone and the army should go back to their barracks and leave the police and the courts to deal with these savages who perpetrated this heinous crime of the assassination of this young and bright Captain Mahama.

Npp , Ndc and most of the media are in a hype propaganda mode to blame the innocent people of the town rather than properly look at the suspicious activities of the captain . First he was jogging alone with a gun in plain sight . Rather than identify himself chose to engage in shooting at the residents , a sign of substandard training or criminal intent . He wwas on duty and an officer but had no other lower ranking soldiers accompanying him , was he deployed there to be on holiday so could go jogging around ? Never trust these security forces especially the army as they are involved in all kinds of criminal activity and always have sophisticated propaganda lies to make it appear they did nothing wrong

Why didn't they respect the right of the captain? From lynching him to stripping his corpse naked and setting his body ablaze. Since they didn't respect his rights, theirs should not be respected. Ghanaians are not prepared for democracy. And some sense has to be pumped into the heads of such people who think they can do anything they want to a suspect.

If this had happened in the west, all those people involved would have been executed a long time. The army officer did not tited, so, they should not have tatted. To the so called amnesty international, my question to them is; were they not there when ex-president Bush of the United States Killed the Oklahoma city bomber.what did they do to stop him from carrying out that killing. They should spare us the noise. The laws of the land makes it clear that if you suspect someone to be an armed robber, you call the police for them to arrest the person, or if you're able to arrest the person by yourself, you must hand over the person to the police and they would take it from there. You are here talking about respect, where was the respect of the officer when they took the law into their own hands. He who pelts one with pebbles, asks for rocks in return: as the saying goes. The security agencies involved in the investigation should deal with the town folks who did that to the innocent army officer. They should all be arrested charged by the court for murder and be put to death immediately.

These group of animals clearly chose the wrong innocent and above all a captain in our armed forces.

I have never been an advocate for volience but these people (esp those who can be clearly identified in this horrifice vid) should be serverly dealt with.

And a lesson to us all, suspects can be arrested by citizens. And that is where it ends. We are not the judge and death sentence warranters. That is decided by our laws. We have no right to lynch anyone.

I hope this never happens again. I hope in his death Captain Mahama has dealt hid a bitter lesaon and saved numerous would be innocent viticims.

I pray God gives you rest. I pray He gives your young family the strength and faith to carry on.
