They walked were raped, drink their own urine to survive,and he said the weak one are left by the road to die and the strong continued. He said those who continued were those who risked everything , drank their urine to survive. Some were robbed by their smugglers but he said you can't report them to anyone. Don't attempt and if you want o live. Children do not stand any chance at all.

I am a seaman onboard one of the search and rescue(SAR) ships on the Mediterranean.Some of the migrants do share their stories with us and very terrible. Traveling to Libya is a deadly voyage and I think the media can also help by broadcasting it.Even when survive to reach there is from flyingpan to fire.Since there is no work for the Libyans themselves they kidnap bkacks and sells them to smugglers and one have to pay a ransom before u get your release. The women are forced to do prostitution to pay their ransom. When u get to Libya u are stuck and there is no chance to return that's why after going through all that they risk to cross the Mediterranean sea by a small rubber boat which supposed to carry only 40 people but the smugglers overloaded them to 120 or 140.They use Ti tell them is just 3hrs to reach Italy which is not true because even with our big ship we make it 36 hrs to reach south of Italy (Sicily) where we normal sent the surviving ones.When they get to Italy that does not end there,some have been in the refugees camp for over 10years without papers. There are many at times I net some of them begging in bars and restaurant.Oh Africa hmmmm.
