Kindly arrest the woman for feeding the assmeblyman with such information. to serve as deterrent to other women. however , if the captain was an armed robber , did he robbed the woman selling the snails ? ?... did he threatened her in any circumstances ? ? .. the woman should be handled as an initiate to the lynching. wedda she is same woman , the one seen burning the captain shd be arrested , .. i have not seen any woman on the list , , its not detailed arrest of the perpertrators.

once they arrest the assemblyman .. the woman shd as well be arrested. everybody is equal before the law.

The woman is to be arrested to assist in the investigations and to be used as a witness. The rule of law is reasoning without passion. The incident is very very unfortunate however, there is nothing wrong with the information that was given to the Assemblyman that someone in mufti is armed with a pistol and may be an arm rubber. The Assemblyman rather made a big mistake when they got to where the captian was. He did not allow the Captain to express himself. The Assemblyman is guilty as charged. The woman's testimony will be vital for the conviction of the Assemblyman.

The gentleman's end was very sad and unfortunate but let's not allow our emotions to cloud our reasoning. Actually, the woman acted in a very responsible manner by reporting a person she suspected to a local authority. That is what every sensible person does when you see a stranger you suspect. It is the assembly man who acted irresponsibly. This madness is very typical of Ghanaians. Most Ghanaians don't like to think before they act. We emote. That is what many people are doing and continue to do on Ghana web and social media since this story broke.

So for me the woman acted responsibly. However, if the she took part in the beatings or incited the barbaric action, then by all means she should be punished.

I doubt if they can get what they are requesting for, for politicians and tribalism will not allow them to be fare to all. And when they are seen to be partial, they should forget it. The police should also root out the bad nuts amongst them, other wise they cannot win this war.

There is too much confusion and lack of direction in the handling of the issues arising from the murder of the Captain. What is needed to let the nation wade through the murky waters is a Commission of Enquiry into the various aspects of the matter. For instance Ghanaians need to know the ownership of the mines, the role of the military, the justification for their presence in the area and the course of events leading to the death of the officer, among other matters of concern. The sittings must be public and the membership of the Commission must be citizens of repute.
