Where Maham came from Bole are full of poverty stricken vulnerable children yet instead of forfeiting his wife birthday he spend money he had stolen whilst in power to take his entire family to Dubai again to show off . This High Commissioner, is completely correct. Ghana's political establishment should be taking notice of Benjamin's observations, but because Ghanaians tend to lack depth of intellect, they will probably not learn the lessons. When the United Kingdom has donated millions in medical supplies to Ghana, and those supplies are burnt in an arson which was committed to cover up theft, the High Commissioner has an obligation to say something. Any ambassador's job include representing his government in the country to which they are assigned. Such representation includes head of state to head of state communication but the ambassador and his political attaché are tasked to provide information to their government on actual conditions in the countries to which they are posted. Two years or more ago, I wrote about Ghana being like a Mafia state - complete with godfathers, dons, capos and enforcers. I am sure ALL the ambassadors in Ghana know this, and have submitted such briefings to their governments. While John Dramani Mahama, was going around various parts of Ghana giving away V8 SUVs as bribes to various people, he and his Ministers were at the same time begging all the so called "Donor" countries, to send millions of dollars to his government to balance the Ghana budget! Whenever Ghana stops begging for, and receiving largesse from the UK government, then I would say the UK ambassador should button out of our affairs. All the governments under the 1992 Ghana constitution, have been corrupt, but John Dramani Mahama's stewardship saw stealing and graft, on an unimaginable scale. The Mahama NDC gov't's level and scale of corruption is like a category 9 earthquake if that is even possible, with the aftershocks still causing rippling catastrophic damage like a category 5 earthquake. That is the kind of corruption, stealing and thievery Ghana is confronted with, in the past decade and it is important, an absolute critical imperative in the interest of Ghana, as a functioning democratic state to bring down and crush to rubble those pillars and strongholds of complete and total corruption and crassness in this country.
