Lawyer Sasu himself, knowing very well that he conducted himself inappropriately, in accordance with the ethics of the practice of law in Ghana, has admitted his guilt, so what be the sweat of loud mouth Kujo? The disciplinary action may be harsh but i dont see where this "lawless" thing comes in, especially as the sentence is based on the code of ethics that exist at the moment. Kujo is rather being ignorance and lawless.

Although I do not support lawyers fleecing their clients, I think that the General Legal Council is being unfair in this case. The man in question, who was said to have spent 14 years in jail, is a very ungrateful person. He came out of prison wretched, and had no one, not even his relatives or the General Legal Council to support him, or take up the case because he had nothing. Lawyer Sosu took-up the case, first on humanitarian ground, and without the guarantee of getting any money at the end of it all because it was not a certainty that they would succeed in getting any compensation. Today, after sacrificing his time, energy and money, we have some "angels" coming out now to crucify him. Taking 25 percent of the compensation might be too high, but he does not deserve the punishment that has been meted out to him. As for the man involved, he will surely pay for his ungratefulness.

The "old boys", are circling the wagons to protect one of their own! If this Sosu did what the General Legal Council found him guilty of, then he should have been permanently disbarred from the practice of law. We have all been talking about lawlessness in this Republic of Ghana in recent days, yet people like this Imani Cudjoe seem not to be able to make the connection between what this Sosu did and the general disaffection the public has to our institutions. Ghana lawyers engage in malpractice, as a matter of course. Fleecing their clients is something that every Ghana lawyer engages in, no matter how "distinguished" the lawyers happens to be. It is hard to have much respect for these leeches. There are some people in the capital city who on the one hand would wring their hands and decry the lawlessness we see, but on the other hand rush to defend a dishonourable member of the law profession. Shame!
