Lynching of anybody is a barbaric act considering the fact that the victim could even be a relation and innocent. The facts of the case indicated it was a planned and well orchestrated mob attack.The question is they could have just sent him to the police station and make a report or call his unit for further identification. He is a military officer and has a right and license to carry a weapon whether in uniform or not in such a hostile galamsey environment. I know most millitary personnel carry a badge in the form of a medallion which they wear as a chain around their neck and always carry an id card in their wallet. The fact is there are undercover agents who carry guns not in uniform so that cannot be the reason for the lynching when they couldn't proved any robbery on his part. The fact is if you kill or murder a security agent or officer, their colleagues and friends will definitely come after you whether justice is served or not. So the perpetrators will never be free and are in deep trouble for taking the law into their own hands murdering an officer in broad daylight without justifying what he stole or asking for an ID. The facts point out that from the event it was a totally planned attack to get rid of the officer. The sad aspect is looking at the number of people involved or witnessed the such a barbaric act there was not a single israelite among the egyptians and most ghanaians pride themselves as a God fearing people and peaceful nation. I know Ghana more to be a country of hypocrisy and lawlessness, bribery and corrupt which needs to be eradicated. May his Soul Rest in Perfect Peace.
