  Blame not media or the reporters! Blame gullible family members who talk too much in order to be seen as part of the fame! The reporter did not cook up this story but was told by somebody claiming to be a family member.

  enough news about Major Mahama. People are becoming tired of daily news about his death. The family may lose the sympathy that Ghanaians are showing them. How many innocent civilians have Ghana soldiers tortured and murdered and nothing was done about it? All these comments about his death will not bring him back to life. What bis needed now is his murderers to be put to trial. It looks like every family member of the major is talking at an FM station.

  I wrote about the this instance justice stupidity in an article about five years ago and said innocent people are being killed and will continue to be killed if we don't stop this nonsense and nobody listened to me and all I got was insults and being accused as one of the armed robbers.
  
  Ghanaians still behave like we are still living in the 18th century. This is a society when you are driving and hit a pedestrian you can't stop and render aid by transporting the victim to a hospital or assisting in first aid because a mob will descend on you and beat you to death for such an accident. This is the reason why drivers run away anytime they cause an accident whether it is their fault or not. Ghanaians need to stop these PRIMITIVE behaviours.

  Much as mob lynching can never be justified under any circumstances (whether the victim is culpable of the alleged offence or not) for goodness sake what on earth will stop or prevent any mob action that had been pre-planned? Who ever the victim happens to be (whether the president of a country, CEO of conglomerate, you name whatever position you can think of) nothing could stop such an insane team of a mob, except for an outside armed and determined group who sees reason in stopping such a barbaric act. I witnessed a scene which made me cringe when a pick pocket expertly and noiselessly picked my monthly wage which I had just withdrawn from the bank to pay for my university fees and think of how to make it through the rest of the month. Somehow I sensed within me to look behind. At the busy Kinbu zebra crossing from the direction of the old Hearts football training field, I just saw this pick pocket holding my money as though hypnotized. He was simply looking into my face. With all the frustration in me I snatched my money first, and began slapping him while shouting, "Julo, julo, Does this money belong to you.?" I regretted I started it on this tone. From nowhere Wawa board sticks with pointed nail ends, blocks, sticks, stones and anything you can think of that can harm and mutilate descended on this man. I cried in my heart for him. I couldn't stand the scene of blood that followed. I simply had to leave the scene. I'd always wondered what I could have done to halt the scene. But tell me if that crowd would have listened to me when the evidence of the stolen money was right in my hands? Now this mob action was not a planned thing but just see what those people did. If truly the Brave young Captain's mob action was planned, his only salvation would have come from God i.e outside intervention who are not part of the plot. But perhaps this is to wake us up. Poverty and greediness! An Assembly Man's decision of instant justice in this case really sends shivers down my spine. Watch as such same people climb the political ladder to become DCE's MP's Political Party Chief executives and the unfair world in which we find ourselves in making such ill-minds becoming sometimes Ministers of state and presidents. Denkyira, stand up and condemn this evil act for us all please. I am a but don't hail from Denkyira. Captain's fate could happen to any other Ghanaian serving us all in any part of this beloved country of us all. Please remember all that has happened to teachers, police officers in similar situations.

This is not the business of the public, and even if she had divulged this info it should be on the wisdom of the journalist to know why should would do that. This was probably said for sympathy, a rhetorical statement that should have been left to pass.
