According to Major(Rtd) Boakye Gyan, per military training and practice, military officers do not walk alone when away on national assignment, hence he found the circumstances surrounding the murder as unacceptable. He Said: “That was not how we were trained, it was not part of our training that you alone go on a jog. So my question is: ‘what was his mission there?’ If you are in a military detachment and you are going jogging, you don’t go with a sidekick?” “The report coming so far is that the Captain was on early morning jogging without a sidekick or without a number two attached to him? Now the man is dead so who came and told us that he was exercising? Whose story is that? The practice is that you should be accompanied by somebody else. It doesn’t happen that a Captain alone will be going jogging, that is not part of our training. Ask anybody, in those days when we are going jogging we would move in a group, so my question is, ‘what was his mission there (village)?’ “If you are a detachment commander and you are going on early morning exercise, you don’t go with your sidekick, at least one person with you? You do not walk into an operational area alone, so where was his sidekick? I find something wrong unless the information is to cover up. A senior Captain finding himself in a situation where he is not accompanied by anybody from his detachment, it is not done. Now he is dead and we know dead men don’t talk, but who reported that he was exercising? We need to question that person.”

Because this military officer is related to ex-prez Mahama, the NDC communicators are just over-hyping issues surrounding this slain galamsey soldier. Generally, Ghanaians are hypocrites that is why Ghana is backward in the midst of plenty. Look at how nursing mothers have been detained with their babies in connection with this unfortunate murder and it appears human rights lawyers in Ghana have all gone to sleep.I am not the least surprised because if the Minister of Children and Gender Affairs has gone to weep profusely at the funeral of Late Maj Mahama because the deceased is a relative, do you think she will see the need to protect these kids who are being punished for crimes they have not committed.

2 Breast feeding moms, 32 Mahama killer suspects remanded
Thirty-four suspects including two lactating mothers accused of murdering Captain Maxwell Mahama have been remanded by an Accra Central Magistrate court Monday.
The question is, were the children of these lactating mothers also incarcerated with the suspected murders or were forcefully weaned by the state. I need answers from Otiko because two wrongs do not make a right.

According to sources, this Captain was attacked and killed while jogging. These are some few questions for us to answer. Do soldiermen go jogging in their boots? Do soldiermen go jogging in jeans? As the above writer has stated, do soldiermen go jogging with pistles by their sides? The people of Ghana are not babies. We want to know what he was doing there. Remember, those who acquire money in a cheap way, die cheaply as it is in the case of the above Captain. There should be a probe into his death to let Ghanaians know the real truth. Again the dad has said he was putting up a project. We want the government to investigate and know how much he was earning and assess the value of the project as at the time of death tom let the Ghanaian people know if he was not there for some sinister motives. Oman Ghana, as long as we continue to do "KATA SO, MUA MUA SO," our country will continue to sink. It is better we call a spade a spade so that nobody can seek refuge under the banner of "evil" doings. There is nobody as corrupt as Rawlings, yet he gets the gut to spew out that other people are corrupt. Ghanaians want to know a very authentic statement leading to the death of the young MAJOR.
We are disgruntled over the fact that a whole CAPTAIN could go out alone to jog without any sidekick attached to him. Even in 1969 i was barely 13yrs when my uncle of the blessed memory Captain Kwaku Antwi came to visit the family with intention of enlisting me into the boys' company with 5 soldiers as sidekicks bodyguarding him fully armed, and all you could hear in our house were klaw klaw klaw all salutes here and there.
How in this modern age a captain walks freely in town without a sidekick and jogging without sport gears, he had ordinary shoes on, no track suit and no sneakers on just ordinary even without an id card. The army should be circumspect in their reportage.WE ARE ALL VERY EMPATHETIC TOWARDS THE YOUNG AND BEAUTIFUL SOLDIER AS AMERICAN WILL SAY IT.

First of all these are some of the things that scare me to death anytime I think about coming home . It's been 17 Years now since I left Ghana as a 15 Year old boy . The difference between the advanced countries and non advanced ones is clear . It isn't the tall buildings or technology or capital . It is the respect the People have for the law . It is a beautiful thing . If a police officer arrests a murder suspect , that suspect is treated as if he is innocent until proven guilty . Even if Captain Maxwell Mahama had commited a heinous crime , there's no way he would've been treated and killed the way he was killed . But in this case , he somehow landed in the claws of the most dangerous group of people . ( Young uneducated men ) . They won't even listen as he continuously told them he is a soldier . Fucking monkeys !!
