Because this military officer is related to ex-prez Mahama, the NDC communicators are just over-hyping issues surrounding this slain galamsey soldier. Generally, Ghanaians are hypocrites that is why Ghana is backward in the midst of plenty. Look at how nursing mothers have been detained with their babies in connection with this unfortunate murder and it appears human rights lawyers in Ghana have all gone to sleep.I am not the least surprised because if the Minister of Children and Gender Affairs has gone to weep profusely at the funeral of Late Maj Mahama because the deceased is a relative, do you think she will see the need to protect these kids who are being punished for crimes they have not committed.

I have always said these land guards are more dangerous to the social economical progress of Ghana. The formal Nesawam Crime officer is number one land. Gurad, he has his own team and uses the state guns for their activities

So it is not just the Denkyira people who are animals, as some have described them? Do we send the police to go and wipe out those land guards?
I think what is good for the goose is equally good for the gander. This Chief needs a state burial. Ghana must make arrangements for that.

Brutal as it was more common people have been dying the same way as Captain Mahama including old people in the North - as a fair society - all death must be investigated and the culprit bring to justice. Because every life matters. When I was a soldier I knew very well that in a moment my life was between birth death. I chose to be a soldier because I loved it. Nobody was or has been forced to be a soldier. Unfortunately, our civilian brothers and sisters have not been paid by tax payers yet they have been subject to deaths same way as soldiers. It is not good concentrating on one death because the guy was a soldier. Corruption, bad institutions, bad training, kick backs or 10 and others including environmental degradation causing all these deaths. Damaging the environment is death now and generation to come. Weak govts are killing us same as mob culture. Injustice - one law for the educated and one law for villagers - unfair society we live in
