The NDC leadership continues to be obtused about the real cause of the party's dysmal results.
False diagnosis is the bane of all failed political movements because their leaders are unwilling to grasp the dynamics of human existence? The leaders just only see symptoms of the underlying problem not the fundamental causes or factors for their failure?
Bagbin seemed to have touched on the main problem but veered into partisanship to console his audience's pain. NPP has the same problems NDC has relative to voters action in electoral contests. Party disunity, media control and wrong lame horses and Jockeys are symptomatic manifestations of the hidden problem. The main problem is the monetiization of the process of leadership selection and of the electoral processes and the resulting corruption , especially the looting of state resources as the prize for victory by the powerful! Our politicians must never assume that the electorate are like " indentured Serfs". They cannot be sustainably driven over long periods by passionate ideology as Rawlings and the H. Yaya and other diehards from the past would have us believe.? The electorate are practical people who seek positive life effects from leaders entrusted to handle their common weal. Politicians also foreget that the electorate as a body is dynamic with dilution of new voters , the young , without the benefit of history and those whose views change based on experiences. Thus , a set of voters in each election are always different. That was why despite all the massive infrastructure investments by the NDC the voters decided to make a change. They have done that in the past? The voters are a silent rational entity. They are not idiots as some politicians assume. Democracy is the best self correcting system developed by Western societies to referee the peaceful coexistence of the powerful oligarchs, the weak majority , the crooks and the wicked .History has shown us across the globe that no societal hedgemony by a group, be it through ideology, economic , ethnic/tribal or decadent societal arrangements can exists forever. There will always be upheavals and a clamor for positive change to make lives better. NDC must accept defeat and go about offering alternative policies that when given an opportunity will make a positive difference in people's lives. Sticking to nostalgia and pull him down(PHD) and negative opportunistic behaviors against political opponents is a quick sand to a potential demise of a political party called the NDC.

I want to tell Hon Alban Bagbin that it is not true that NPP can manage the media very well than the NDC. The fact is look at the size of the population in Ghana who can speak or understand the Twi or the Akan language and look at the strongholds of NPP. It is mostly the Akan speakers. Now compare this to the Number Akan/Twi FM or TV stations. People tend to tune in to the language he/she can understand well. This being looked at as if the followers of NPP listen to those stations. NPP is not managing very well than NDC but rather the followers appear like that.
